The darn thing actually works!
I live in the mountains surrounded by trees. I have a good digital over-the-air antenna, but I live far away from most of the TV signals. Mountains, Trees, Distance. If you want to kill an over the air signal that's how you do it. I've tried a half-dozen of these booster things with virtually no benefit, and honestly I was hesitant to buy another one. I'm familiar with the Channel Master brand, so I rolled the dice and decided to give it a try. I was ready to accept failure once more, and was startled that my reception increased by 40%, maybe 50%! Signal strength for existing channels and I'm now receiveing channels that I didn't know existed. I changed nothing with my antenna or conditions. I simply added this to the antenna line that feeds three TV's and plugged it in. It works great! I'm very surprised. Now I'm an electrician so installing this was easy for me, and in reality if you have an electrical outlet that can be used to power it, and are capable of attatching the TV co-ax cables, this is an easy installation. If you need someone to help you, don't hesitate, it's an easy install for someone who is versed in such things. This is an easy 5 stars. I'm still surprised and very pleased at how well this Channel Master Booster works. I didn't think it could be done.

Works great.
I live in a rural area 90 miles from the TV stations. I have a large antenna with pre-amp on a 40 ft tower to pull them in. 75% of the channels were completely perfect, but a few (namely Fox who always seems to operate at half the power of others and always seems to conflict with another nearby Fox channel) were borderline or poor. I had a 3 way spiltter that I replaced with this distribution amp and it helped to settle reception on some channels due to the boost (not half power Fox though). It also - depending on weather - allowed pulling in some side band stations. Overall, happy with the product and performance. Via my TV diagnostics my signal to noise ratio was only 15-17 with the TVs automatic amplifier running at 50%.. After I installed this, my signal to noise ratio improved to 18-22 with the TV automatic amplifier down to 30%. So real results in a difficult long range environment. It additionally filters out interference such as 5G which is a problem in my area, this device solved that part completely.

Terrific Preamp That Has Solved All My TV Reception Problems
I still can't believe what a difference this preamp has made in my tv reception. I live in an urban apartment and rely on an indoor antenna (I have no interest in paying for cable). That has worked out reasonably well, but there has been one major network station that I simply could not get. It would flash on the screen for a few seconds, then cut out in favor of a black screen and the message that there was no signal. I have tried all sorts of different antennas and amplifiers with no luck whatsoever, but with the Channel Master preamp everything changed. The CBS station that I could not receive at all is now completely stable, and several new stations are now available. Hooking up the preamp was very easy. You do have to employ a power inverter (which Channel Master supplies), but that is no problem. The preamp is designed to go on an outside antenna installation and the power inverter sends power to it, but it can also be set up indoors. It provides 30db of gain (or a lower level of gain that is available through a simple switch) and it also has a very powerful LTE filter. I could not be happier with this product. It is worth every penny I paid.

Sturdy
The amplifier worked perfectly and the install was relatively painless. The directions were just OK, could’ve been more step-by-step and larger print. I was having issues hitting River view towers from South Saint Petersburg. After I installed the amplifier, all the signals stabilized. The reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five, is that the kit needs three coaxial cables to do the job, whereas the kit only includes two, so be prepared to go out and get another cable to finish the job.

It works - I should have bought this several years ago
Excellent item. As others have said - feels solid, hardy construction. For our OTA set-up, it is paired with a pre-amp and this distribution amplifier provides the requisite signal boost to get an adequate signal to our TV's. After install, each TV shows a SNR of 20+ on all OTA channels. My only regret - I should have bought this several years ago.

Channel Master distribution amplifer
This is no joke. It is well constructed and works as described. I installed it (very easy) and I received 20-more TV stations that I didn't know existed. Granted, many of them I do not watch, shopping, foreign language etc. but I got 'em. The other channels that were pixelated now come in clear and strong. I recommend this item.

My previous distribution amplifier, that used to get me ~30 channels, died after a power surge. A temporary setup with an RCA amplifier and separate BZT 2-way passive splitter got me 34 channels, but it was bulky and missing outputs for the entire home. I thought I'd be getting a reputable brand going with Channel Master, but the CM-3424 is getting me only 1 or 2 channels on my HD Homerun (sitting next to it) and 4-5 channels on my TV. I've contacted technical support, but they wanted to make me pay to send it in for testing. I decided to return it to Amazon and ordered a second one, hoping that my luck would change. Unfortunately, the second one had the same results. I ended up getting three passive 4-way splitters (ranging from $4-8$) from my local electronics store and compared the results: if I put the RCA amplifier in front of the Channel Master distributed amplifier, I get the same amount of channels (31) as those cheap passive splitters, but the best of the passive splitters gave me 34. I must conclude that the amplifier in Channel Master is complete garbage. I'll send back the second one as well, which is a shame, because I really liked the form factor.
