This Bible is really well made and easy to read. The large print is clear without making the book too bulky, and the Karmina typeface looks great on the page. The LeatherTouch cover in burnt sienna feels soft but sturdy, and it lays nicely in the hand. I also like the extra features such as the cross-references, red-letter text, and maps in the back. Overall, it’s a beautiful Bible that’s both practical for everyday reading and nice enough to give as a gift.

This is a lovely Bible with thin, very opaque pages. The print is a comfortable size. It lies flat and is very easy to read. I'm amazed it can be manufactured and delivered for this price. Thanks, Holman Bible Publishers! The only suggestion for improvement is to make the pages not stick together upon first use. Some pages must be initially separated carefully before reading for the first time. But that's a minor complaint. I'd highly recommend this Bible. I have a Kindle and hundreds of Kindle books, but I prefer reading this printed Bible over the Kindle. The printed Bible sits nicely on my coffee table and is handy to open and read anytime.

NASB is the closest to actual original language too. If you compare the NIV to NASB, it is rather stunning how much the rephrasing has occurred in NIV, and I think it misses some nuances by the switching of words. This "personal size" is a great companion when you want JUST THE WORD; it includes all the scripturally-related verse references too. Many smaller size Bibles have tinier text too, so I appreciate that the text sizing is not forfeiited in order to create the smaller size book. I have found that sometimes my study bibles are too large, with too much extra material...so this serves its purpsoe very well when I want to simply read the word without a lot of distractions. The size is perfect too, I can easily pick it up and hold it with the clumy pain of arthritic aging hands and fingers. Pages are a great weight. Jesus' words in red actaully do help me to quickly find His passages with a glance over the page.

Exactly as described and reviewed: easy-read font, substantial pages, easily handled, buttery soft cover. However, oops - I bought this to read along with readings in church that aren't in the Missal. Catholic Church. This is a NASB translation. The American Catholic Church currently uses the NABRE translation. Well, my fault for not researching more carefully. Oh well, some book-accepting charity will be receiving a very nice Bible. Hope I can find a NABRE translation equally as nice as this Bible.
