The Callisto Protocol Day One Edition

Despite some of the negative reviews, I thought this was a amazing game.The new story DLC adds another few hours of gameplay.

The game is good and very atmospheric. Graphically it is very good and the sound helps create the impending doom! It can be frustrating at times but these can be overcome with care in how you approach things. Hi ever, without any spoilers, the final boss is incredibly frustrating so if you don’t have patience or like games where it takes multiple tries to achieve your goal, this is probably not for you. The story is good though, and if this final element was removed/modified it would be a better game for it.

I was really hyped for this game, leading up to release. Then reviews came out and most people said this game was pretty bad. I actually held off playing, because of the bad reviews. It actually went on ps plus, recently and instead of installing the disc I bought, it was easier to just download it via ps store.I really was expecting to be disappointed but in fact, I really loved this game. It’s kinda like dead space. Similar combat, setting etc. no fetch quests, constantly looting, inventory management, none of that, just a straight up fun sci fi horror game. The dodge mechanic put off a lot of pet buy I actually found it fun. I even played through this game 3 times in a row. It was around 15 hours to complete. Didn’t feel too long or too short. It’s quite gory but it isn’t actually too scary. Great graphics, running around smashing mutants heads in. Great fun .

There has been a lot of hype since news emerged of this game when it was in development. It looked like it was going to be a new type of horror survival game on a new level but for me the game is disappointing. The best part of the game is the very good, realistic surroundings and some of the best human animation I've seen in a game. However, there just isn't enough monster variation and after a while killing the same 4 or 5 different creatures dozens of times starts to become more of a boring chore. Also the cut scenes showing your gruesome death is boring to see after watching it a few times. There just isn't enough variation. There is only one 'boss' monster at the very end and a couple of semi bosses in between. Another example are the small face hugger creatures and the worm type monster which appear in later levels. The method of killing them is exactly the same whenever you encounter them. They only attack you in exactly the same way every time. You just wander from one facility to another killing monsters on the way and there is a distinct lack of any puzzles. The only thing you have to do is carry fuses from one place to another so you can open any relevant doors. Apart from that, there isn't anything else to keep your mind occupied enough. I understand the PC version has issues with lag and stuttering but the PS5 version runs nice and smooth. The producers promised we would be scared and on the edge of our seats but unless you're 10 years old or less I don't think it's scary at all. Just a few jump scenes that's it. I still think, despite using Real Engine 5, the monsters still don't look completely convincing. They don't animate smooth enough in my opinion and have that computer look about them. I think they could have been better. They certainly don't look as good as they do in the cut scenes. When you stamp on a dead enemy to pick up collectibles the amount of blood you see spurt in the air is laughable. Well over the top and not realistic at all. Still, it's just a game and I found it enjoyable enough but certainly not perfect. Update: after playing the game for a good few hours one more question comes to mind; how is it I can kill an enemy instantly with a couple of stabs with a knife and yet if I use a gun and blow all it's limbs and head off it's still alive?

I got this when it came out and I enjoyed it very much. If you like the Dead Space series you'll like this as it's very similar to them games in my opinion. Graphically it's very good and the gameplay is easy to get on with

Firstly, the graphics and sound are truly next gen and the whole game is dripping with atmosphere. You can tell that a lot of love and passion has gone into making this game. The story is pretty good, if somewhat predictable but the characters you meet are top notch and very well voice acted. The game itself is very similar to something like 'DEAD SPACE' but this focuses mainly on melee combat, which can be quite cumbersome at times. You can easily find yourself getting swarmed by the enemy and you end up swinging around you weapon not knowing who you are hitting at, or even if you are hitting anything at all. This can lead to some very frustrating deaths and sometimes feels unfair, especially as your character isnt the most nimble of chaps!! You do get some standard ranged weapons to play but ammo is extremely limited, and all the really big guns are saved for later in the game. I liked this game on the first play through but 'New game plus' lets you keep all your weapons and uprades more or less from the beginning and this really does make the game alot more fun. If the game was more like 'New game plus' from the start, then this would have made the game far more enjoyable from the start, in my opinion.A very good game thats just a little short of greatness!🤔👍

A differenza di molte critiche ricevute lo trovato uno dei più bei giochi giocati finora, ha una storia molto intrigante e una grafica pazzesca, mi sono divertito un sacco giocarlotanto da acquistare anche il dlc

The game has exellent atmostfare, great sound and grafik and for that its worth around 30-40 eur.The problem is that the compat is uninspirering and the game is short.
