It was for the money

I've got several OBD tools, from cheap ones to professional level ones which cost s much as a decent car. This one falls on the lower end of the ones I've tried. Cost information wasn't available when I received this to test, so it's difficult to assign value to it. It's certainly functional and connected to a variety of different vehicles and was able to identify each and determine and report readiness correctly. Pending codes and live data works well and provides a wealth of information. The housing doesn't seem as if it's made to withstand the abusive environment of a garage and the display is no-frills... but that is a great way to keep costs down for the infrequent users or hobbyists. OBD codes are very often thought to just point at the bad part, which is not at all how it works- so just keep in mind that a sensor reporting out of range might just be doing its job because something else doesn't work, the live data tells you far more. If I had a dollar for everyone who threw a new part of whatever name the code definition had in it at a car and it wasn't the problem, I'd be airplane shopping right now. Use the information wisely!

I know very little about automobiles, except to get in and drive. I got this OBD scanner because I have a perpetual check engine light on. Mechanics have said it is a catalytic converter issue in my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This tool confirmed it and turned the light off (for now). It was very simple even for me to attach under my dash and just as simple to use. I look forward to learning more about what this handy little tool will do. The instruction booklet is very clear and easy to understand even for a layman like me.

It’s simple to use this tool to make detection, it can read and retrieve the troubles codes. After a fault code was detected, I could read the definition of the code directly, I used it to delete the code and the check engine light was off. Easy to plug and play, once plugged it, a clear menu comes on screen immediately. With this tool, I can find out what the problem is and fix the easy ones myself, help me save money and time!

I plugged it under my dash and it shows the diagnostic data clearly, this OBD scanner is great helpful on engine checking. Pending codes and live data works well and provides a lot of information. It’s very helpful for the people who know very little about the automobiles, like me…at least let me know the situation for my car, as for the data which I don’t understand, I can drive to repair store for further checking to make if safely.

It helps me diagnose those without having to the auto parts store. By the instruction on manual, it’s easy to use. I use it to random check the car and it works well. It can identify and report readiness correctly. With this OBD, I won’t need to worry about any problem on my car because I can find out what the problem is and fix it efficiently. It also will be great helpful for its MOT.

This worked okay on most of my cars for simple OBD2 codes. This one is okay for smog and simple repairs on most cars, but it did not connect with my GMC Yukon, so I returned it and got a much more expensive reader that even reads factory transmission, ABS and SRS codes.

Had a low battery fault on dash, after not driving the car for 3 months. As battery conditioning charger had been turned off. Even after topping battery charge up fault was on car dashboard.Great tool just plug in and follow instructions, easy to use and it cleared fault. Audi main dealer wanted to charge at least £60 just to plug in same sort of OBD reader.

I've just used this on my 2.2ltr Vauxhall Astra, which had a check emissions light on, after multiple recent jump starts and a new immobiliser fitment. I can't believe how easy this tool was to use. Plug it into the port, ran a battery check test, then switched the ignition to start up checks and then started the engine. No issues causing the light and no error codes; I reset the light using this tool. Job done. I then just checked all the other live vehicle data, just out of interest; all running great. This tool has saved me a fortune in time and money already.

Cheap and high-quality products, easy to operate, I used to find out the cause of the failure, and then online evaluation of the failure of my car, at least not to be deceived when going to the repair shop, let me know how much money can be used to repair the car If you can repair the fault, you will save more money.

can check the battery charge,all other functions are the same as in the cheapest Elm 327.I did not have errors on my laguna 2011, so I could not check if it erases errors, but the description says that it erases.

A nice product simple to use. Just plug in the code reader to the car OBD and it tells you fault code and cleared it up if you have any. The problem is fixed. It also checks the battery health. Saves you going to the garage to check the fault codes with simple plug and play. Modern looking, strong colour, Good display and easy to use
