Voice Caddie VC 300 Golf GPS Rangefinder

I really like it. It's small and tells you the basics of what you need to know. Elegant design. Long life battery easily getting me 2 full rounds. Accurate save for the isolated anomalies that seem to be associated with golf gps devices.I struggle a bit doing the 'swipe' to get yardage to front or back. I just double click instead and get both front and back yardages, but mostly just go by yardage to center and quickly calculate from there depending on where the pin is located. This device does allow you to concentrate on your golf rather than the device.I;ve found that it does take some while to find the course, but once it does, it seems to lock in well. I;ve found that it wont find the course at all if I have it clipped to my belt. Sometimes I dont wear a hat, so i clip it to the front of my golf shirt by the buttons. The clip is strong and holds very well. The magnetic ball marker is a nice touch

My wife bought this for me for my b'day. First time I used it I was lucky enough to get to play at a course where a PGA tour event is held each year and it gave me the correct distance on every hole just the wrong hole number. I kept resetting and it would never set to the correct hole. (It said #1 was #10 and #2 was #12 etc..Gave front nine as back nine and back nine as front nine) I then used it two days later on another course and it was dead on..No problems at all. I think that there was just something to do with the first outing being the course that it was and not the unit itself.. I would recommenced it. It was with in a yard or two of a scoped yardage device every time. It was quiet enough not to bother anyone around me as well. In fact my playing partners started listening to it for yardages or asking me what it said. I had about 30% of battery life left after each round. IMO it's a great product for the amateur golfer.Instructions tell you to turn on early to find the course as it takes about 5 minutes. It will alert you when the course is found.

5 Week update: This GPS went on the fritz today! It wouldn't recognize the golf course that I have played at with this device 5 times and it was a clear and beautiful day. Finally by hole 3 it recognized the course but then it wouldn't give me any ranges at all when I clicked it. It would just say "left green" or "right green". Really disappointed. The touch aspect of this device it the crippling point of the device. You can't clip it on your hat without hitting the buttons and it is very sporadic. Conviently the return policy expired today also......$130 down the drain

Ordered this unit. Did not play golf for a month or two. Stopped working after 2 rounds so could not return. Third round all it says it searching..... I loved this unit but it is just a piece of junk now. Had one before but it was lost, it worked for over 3 years without a problem. But this one only worked a couple of rounds. That might be the reason you can only purchase on Amazon or from the manufacturer none of the golf stores carry this item.

Simply takes the guesswork out of range finding. Press a button and you get distance (yards or metres) to the green's center. Press twice and it gives you distance to the front and back. Automatically detects golf course and hole ( you must be in the tee box). great price and battery life is excellent.

have stood side by side with a bushnell lazer and was within a yard of it.. gives reading to front, middle and back of greens. little tempermental in really cold weather, was 32 degrees out and it kept repeating itself or would talk when i didnt even press. but other than that it works great.

I liked this until it stopped reading the golf course - GPS just says searching...I’ve gone to web site and can find no way to contact company, find FAQs, or get any assistance.Not a cheap item and not abused. Anyone know how to resolve or get to the company?

Pros: I like that the GPS is small and finds the course and hole by itself. Cons: The on/off button is hard to reach when it is fastened to your hat. It is hidden underneath. Also the GPS speaks on its own on the green which is most annoying to me and whoever is putting at the time.

I love this product, it does exactly what it is supposed to, tells you distance from where you are standing to front, middle & back of the green, it will also measure your shot distance. I like the voice approach, much better than fiddling with your phone or wearing a big GPS watch. Sometimes it surprises my fellow golfers, after a bit of light hearted slagging about the voice, they all start asking me for distances later in the round. I wear it on my shirt (attach to front v under the neck), will also work well with a hat. What actually prompted me to write this review is I was disgusted with myself to realise today that I had left it on my shirt last weekend which had been put through the laundry-incredibly, I took it off the now dried out shirt, charged it, and it is working fine, so it is clearly well insulated and robust. Charges quickly and lasts the whole day (I'd say for 2 rounds). I notice one review couldn't find a course 3 times, there must have been a fault, I've been to more than 10 courses with it, not a single issue yet, it finds the course automatically within a couple of minutes. If you are happy with the idea of the voice, it fully deserves 5 out of 5 stars and the price on Amazon of around £100 is great value.

Basic yardage and drive monitor - but works extremeley well - there are more expensive monitors out there to give dog legs, bunker positions etc. But for the money its perfect - easy to set up and use. Very happy and would recommend

A great product - a replacement for one that was lost. Finds almost all courses without a problem. Only odd nine-hole courses missing. As I wear long distance glasses for playing golf instead of my usual varifocals, this is ideal as I don't have to change glasses to look at a hand-held or watch GDSs.

It’s very good for a general idea. I love it. The only thing it does not last. I have 5 of these. 2 do not work after about one year. They lose the ability to charge.

Bought this for my wife on her birthday which falls on 24 March. The golf courses were all closed on 23 March! I'd love to review this properly and will do so as soon as we are able.
