Great Filter And Value Over The Manufacturer Brand Filters
I purchased this filter recently after getting the little warning signs on my fridge saying that it was something like 3 months overdue for changing the filter. Seriosuly, every time I see those warning signs I cringe because the manufacturer's filters are something like $50 a piece and they only ever seem to work well for about 3 months. Of course, they say that they'll last for 6 months; however, at about month 4 the flow is very slow. So, in hopes that I'd find a lower cost alternative, I took a chance in purchasing the Maxblue RPWFE filter for our GE Cafe Stainless Fridge and I'm very pleased with the performance of this filter. Overall, the flavor of the water is very good, the ice that my ice maker produces is very clear (I don't recall ever seeing my ice clear with the manufacturer's filters) and the performance of the filter so far seems better than the GE brand filters. So, if you're looking to save $15-20 on your filter replacements, I'd definitely suggest that you give these a try.
