PDP Wired Video Game Controller Electric Carbon for Xbox Series X|S, Gamepad, Xbox One, Officially Licensed

I needed an affordable controller for PC gaming. If you're looking at this review, it's because you're hoping to find a cheaper alternative to an xbox offical controller for either console or PC. Well, you might have just found it. It feels like a really good controller. It has that quality build pressence. It's weighty, thick, and doesn't feel like it'll snap if you squeeze it too hard. The buttons and triggers are strong and responsive. I've had no lag from input, and the joysticks are very accurate. This was svery important to me, as I had brought a very cheap controller before this, and it was just awful, especially in the joysticks. It even has a handy little button that let's you controller audio levels when a headset is connected. If the instruction manual doesn't ention it, look it up online, it's very useful. I've only got three complaints, and they're minor. Firstly, the joystick squeaks a little bit. It's probably from intense use, and it doesn't affect gameplay at all. It's just somethnig that's a tiny tiny bit anoying and a little bit hilarious at the same time. Secondly, the cable. This is a wired controller, and it's very generous in it's length. But it's a basic cable thatcan tangle easily if you don't store the controller away carefully. As a tip, don't tightly wrap the cable around the controller when not in use, you'll regret it (though the resulting mess is fixable!). Thirdly, and THIS IS IMPORTANT! You might find that when using a headset on an xbox, you'll generate massive feedback, and your friends will likely complain, as will your own ears. Simply unplug the controller from the console with the heafset still attached, plug it back in, and voila, no more horrible noise. I got this when the controller was discounted. And it's serving me well. If you need a nice controller that does everything a standard controller can, then I definitely recommend it.

Great budget controller for beginners.

TLDR: it’s fine for what you pay but not great I bought this thinking it was the same as the controller I already have as it comes in the same colours and layout and is the same brand. It was also the same price. In reality it isn’t quite as good as I expected. It feels cheaper quality and is lighter weight. The fact that the wire is not attached is pointless as the controller does not work wirelessly, so I would have preferred it just be permanently attached. The rumble is also far worse than my other pdp controller, it’s weaker and yet louder and rattles which is quite immersion breaking. I appreciate, however, that this is a cheap price for a controller with reasonable quality buttons and triggers which is the most important part. The buttons are quite loud and clicky. I like this but if you prefer a quieter controller this is not for you.

Having already owned several controllers including both the Official Xbox One and Series X controllers and PDP's own Afterglow controller thought I'd bring another into the fray. Couldn't be more proud! One could say that its more of a competent fit for the Series S or One S/Digital Edition from an aesthetic standpoint but for me that doesn't matter as I prefer function over form in this regard. Keeping all that in mind whilst I haven't used this for any of the aforementioned I ultimately decided to have in plugged into my Xbox Series X whilst the Afterglow is plugged firmly into my Gaming PC Comparatively to the PDP Afterglow it definitely feels a lot lighter due to the lack of any RGB components and texture wise feels a lot firmer and a tad more rugged (just a little though) too. I feel this definitely makes it more suitable for competitive games and genres like FPS, fighting and third person action. For sure you want to feel like the controller will never slip out of your hands with that surety and feel just fine holding this in my hands with a nice solid grip to it. The design is just like it says with the 'Electric White' moniker and the very funky looking lime green under and back exterior and just beneath the thumbsticks too. Little biased as green it my favourite colour so immediately feel in love with both contrasting colours and makes for a great throwback to the first gen Xboxs with their iconic colour shades. As a side not I wish companies adopted that more as I feel with Microsoft now its a little too monochrome and...samey? Just doesn't have the same identity that went into the OG Xbox and the Xbox 360 with its super catchy silver and green motif. All the face and shoulder buttons work just as good as you expect with an ever solid D-Pad that has been slightly improved from the previous gen. Still doesn't hold a candle to Dualshock/Dualsense but has definitely come a long way. Occasionally do like to sway my setups around a bit and works just as well with my gaming rig if not a little more snappier as the Xbox dashboard does have a tendency to lag quite a bit even with stable releases (not on beta/alpha etc.). One wish I had was that particularly underneath where the mic line in port is if it was RGB lit to really bring out and emphasis the lime green hue and just let the controller exude even more of its coolness. Would look just great whilst playing in the dark during extended gaming sessions. In all I would say a really great controller here and will serve you well for many gaming years to come without breaking the bank!

INTRODUZIONE Il controller PDP è meraviglioso! Posso dirlo con altri termini? Superlativo! Cablato (purtroppo e per fortuna), solido, bellissimo al tatto, bello alla vista, sembra l'originale... Si sente che sono entusiasta? PRIMO CONTATTO Questo controller è con me, e con la mia Xbox One da ormai lungo tempo. Abbiamo toccato quasi (o superato da poco) l'anno! Un anno insieme, e che bello! Che soddisfazioni! Il controller è in plastica, sia parte superiore che inferiore ed è cablato. Il cavo, lungo un paio di metri, è ben realizzato, ma non anti-groviglio! Il Joypad ha la dimensione, perfettamente identica, di quelli originali. Comodo da impugnare, e molto ben bilanciato. é in plastica liscia sotto, ruvida sopra (con una leggera texture piacevolissima al tatto). Il look "camo" è molto bello: non è troppo d'impatto, ma nella sua delicatezza si fa notare con discrezione. I colori sono molto belli, non brillanti, ma lucenti. Bottoni e levette sono ottimi: pressione richiesta analoga al controller originale, sofficità della plastica delle levette analoga a quelli Microsoft. Anche i grilletti sono piacevolissimi da utilizzare, forse hanno un lievissimo livello di resistenza minore rispetto all'ufficiale. La vibrazione è meno forte di quella del controller ufficiale di Microsoft, ma lo è anche in modo davvero poco meno intensa. IN USO Quando si gioca con questo controller (che ormai adopero quasi come principale) ci si abitua facilmente. E' comodo da impugnare, piacevole da toccare, non richiede di inserire batterie, né di ricaricarle... insomma: si inquina anche meno! Non c'è alcun reale difetto, né sostanziale differenza rispetto all'ufficiale. CONCLUSIONI Che dire... io sono felice di averlo comprato (scegliendolo seguendo l'intuito) e ne sono anche super soddisfatto. Mi piace sia esteticamente che da utilizzare... sotto ogni punto di vista. Promosso con voti pieni! Ed anche la lode!

The controller is responsive. The headphone port works flawlessly. I put my controllers through their paces. This brand is just as good as the licensed brand for XBOX One.
