I give it only four stars because there are two issues with the device. First - it heats up significantly in sunny conditions, second - it often communicates a failure of SD card which requires formatting. It didn't happen to my previous cams.Those issues don't change the fact that it works perfectly. Telephoto lens captures plate numbers easily, while wide angle lens pictures everything else around. GPS works, software works. When needed, you can save recording to not be overwritten. I myself don't expect any more feature from such device.Oh, I forgot - it records voice as well :)

I was recently involved in a hit-and-run accident while driving my daughter to preschool but the police could not locate the guy because I could not remember the other car’s plate number… So I did my own research and tried three other dash cams(Rexing, Vantrue, and VIOFO A129) but ended up returning them all since (1) the video quality of these dashcams were not as good as they claimed to be, and (2) it was extremely cumbersome to place and remove the dash cam which comes with traditional latching mount -- I live in a big city so my car will be immediately broken into if I leave anything behind.After trying multiple devices, I ended up sticking with UltraDash-Z3 because (1) its dual-camera records a superior quality video with a wide-angle view, (2) magnetic GPS charging mount makes it very convenient to mount and remove the dashcam, (3) Highly accurate GPS module, (4) it can capture excellent video both day and night using HDR, and (5) it comes with a big LCD display!I especially like the fact that you can easily mount and remove the device using its magnetic GPS charging mount. I live in a big city so it was very important to have a dashcam that can easily be removed when I am not driving. Unlike other traditional dashcams, UltraDash Z3’s magnetic mount makes it so easy to mount and remove!! The mount is equipped with a charging port so you don’t have to worry about messy wires.If you live in a big city and need a dashcam that can record excellent videos both day and night, get this dash-cam!! I am glad that I chose this product. If anything changes I will update this review.

So far so good, camera seems to work well, little annoyed that it was advertised with an sd card but came without one. Will update if any change.

I’ve had this Ultradash Z3 camera for almost two years now. When I first received it, I called in Cansonic for a little help understanding how it worked. I left a message and later that same day I was called back by a gentleman named Pierre. He explained the camera to me and I was off on my way.It worked flawlessly up until just recently. It got to where it wouldn’t record but for a couple seconds and the screen would eventually “white out”. I called Camsonic and once again left a message. Sure enough, Pierre called me back. He had me try a few different things such as reformatting the SIM card, updating the firmware, I even tried two new SIM cards but sadly, neither changed what was happening. Pierre is very patient and really wants to help you. You could hear it in his voice and approach.After getting the second SIM card and it still not working correctly, Pierre is sending out a brand new replacement without further delay.This is what I call real customer service and support!I think even if the camera wasn’t that great(which it is), I would do business with this company again based on my personal experiences with Pierre. Easy to setup and use. The dual camera is a great feature. Very good quality camera. Must remember that once an event occurs, such as an accident, must remember to shut OFF power to the camera, otherwise the camera will keep recording every minute and eventually will over write the event. Power is connected to a suction cup, but the camera is attached magnetically to the mount suction cup allowing, if desired, easy removal of only the camera for storage in the arm rest storage bin.
