My number one complaint regarding volumizing shampoo and conditioner is likely the complaints both receive...I have nearly waist length, baby fine hair. That said, it absolutely lacks any volume of its own and therefore compels me to try various volumizing products. Whether it be a styling product or a shampoo and/or conditioner, I DO anticipate it will alter the texture of my hair. If it does not, I am pretty much left with the volume lacking head of hair I already have, right? So it bothers me when reviews come in claiming this very thing, complaints that hair feels "different." Ummm...You asked for different, yes? You wanted volume, right? So here are the things I consider, and how I feel this product line rated.Shine is a biggy. These products did not add shine but more importantly did not lessen the shine I already have. Two thumbs up.Tangles, another biggy. These products did not seem to make my hair any more or less tangly. Two thumbs up there.What did the iron do? My hair took to the iron BETTER than it does without using these products, meaning it straightened and laid nicely and took and held curl nicely without ANY ADDITIONAL products. Definitely two thumbs there.Lastly, I consider smell. My head smells delicious, like a big bouquet of Smarties sweet tarts. I can't imagine why that would upset anyone!In conclusion, my hair does feel a wee bit different, AND I EXPECT THAT. It does appear to have more volume. My ponytail even feels a bitter fatter. Just know that good volumizing products do and will give your hair a slightly different feel. That's the VOLUME you just purshased, Baby!

I have to admit I bought this product only half beliving it would work for me. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try since I was already a fan of Bed Head. This shampoo and conditioner (yes the conditioner too) REALLY DOES add volume to fine thin hair. The smell does make me think of a kids scent but I am more than willing to look past that to have the volume it provides. I am a wash, hair dry (with a hair dryer), and go kinda girl that does not like to use a lot of product or spend time curling/straighting and this duo gave me plenty of volume with just the hair dryer. This has become my favorite Bed Head shampoo.

I agree with the other reviewers who have said this shampoo/condition is MAGIC.I have very fine hair which is normally prone to oiliness, plus I've lost a lot of hair post-pregnancy. I was just starting to freak out when I discovered Bed Head Epic Volume. This product makes my hair soft and weightless, making it look a hundred times fuller.Now, if I was only reviewing the effect this product has on my hair, I would give it an A+, five stars, a home run, two thumbs up... You get the idea.But I have to deduct one star for two reasons:#1 - The smell is very distinctly and unmistakably fruity. Think strawberry Fanta, Flinstone vitamins, maraschino cherries, kids' penicillin, Jolly Ranchers, etc. While I realize the the word "tween" in the title is referring to the size of the bottle, I think it should also but an indicator of who they are marketing this to, based on the fragrance. 12-year-old Me would've thought it was amazing. Adult Me would rather my hair not smell like it's edible.#2 - Others have said their bottles came with pumps. Evidently this used to be true but as of summer 2016 anyway, the pumps are not included. The picture indeed does not show a pump, and the seller does not claim to include a pump, so I'm not disappointed on account of being misled; I'm disappointed because the thickness of the conditioner really demands a pump. After the first two uses it's nearly impossible to shake that goop out of the bottle. And the large size of this particular set makes it difficult to try to prop it up against the shower wall.Bottom line: Anyone with thin or fine hair should buy this product. But if you don't have a pump you can bum off an old bottle, you should buy the version that comes with a pump.

Hi this product is god awful. Especially if you’re used to any higher quality products, then you’ll probably be disappointed. It leaves a gross residue all over your hair, no matter how much you rinse.And the smell… it smells like CHEAP drugstore fruity perfume. Idk why everyone is saying it smells good. It smells cheap.And the conditioner… forget it. It disappears into nothing as soon as it touches your hair.Bedhead is usually a pretty reputable brand. So I was extra disappointed when it worked the same as the cheap drugstore stuff I used in middle school.If you know what a good shampoo feels like in your hair… skip this product. Don’t waste your money like I did.

I’m a huge fan of all of the bedhead products! I have thin straight hair… using this volumizing shampoo and conditioner has make my hair look fuller! Love this product! I switch between this one and their other shampoo and conditioners

I have very fine hair and it's about bra-strap length. It smells like candy but it leaves a deposit on my hair. I've tried using less and less each time and have noticed that the decrease in volume has decreased the film but I'm barely using any and it still feels like there's a film. It does give the ability to re-plump the hair up manually if you do so, but I feel like it also kind of pulls it back down due to the film.

I have used Matrix Amplify for 5+ years. Decided to try this on a whim and I’m so glad I did. Smells so incredible, like unicorns or something - unicorns and rainbows and hard candy. The smell is just a side gig; this stuff is wonderful! It gives my fine hair so much volume, but with incredible softness. The conditioning gel is so lightweight, like a detangler. Big hair, touchability and heavenly scent. I’m smitten!

cool shampoo and conditioner, I have been using this for many years, it creates a wonderful volume for my thin and sparse hair.

Haven’t been able to get this shampoo for 2 months and it is the only shampoo I use. Works wonders on my hair and I really don’t want to use anything else. Received the products one time as stated, no leeks or damage. I’m absolutely over the moon. Thank you.
