This or Samsung 980 Pro?

The Samsung Pro's used to be the easy winner but Samsung started cheaping out by using 3-bit MLC (600 TBW warranty) with the 980 Pro instead of the more robust 2-bit TLC (1,200 TBW warranty) that the previous Pro generations had. Now, the P41 runs cooler, uses less power, is faster, and is just as reliable (750 TBW warranty), if not more, than the 980. It is the new winner.

What would be a suitable external enclosure for this drive?

Dweib McGee's references to "Gen4" I think confuses USB4 and PCIe-4! These P41 SSDs will run at their max NVMe PCIe-4x4 speeds when installed inside a very recent vintage machine that supports PCIe-4 and will NOT when installed into PCIe-3 slot!!! I'm not aware of any NVMe to USB4 (or other Thunderbolt) bridge that yet supports PCIe-4 so you'd likely NOT see much benefit to running a P41 externally compared to the cheaper Hynix P31. That said, any true Thunderbolt or fully compliant USB4 enclosure will provide maximum speed from the computer to the bridge. Avoid any USB3.x housing unless you are running older tech (i.e. much slower) SSDs.

Will this work with early 2015 macbook pro 13" retina?

I believe it should. The P31 was used a lot for 2015 MBP SSD Upgrades. You just need to get an adapter for the NVMe to fit

Does anyone else think the inside of the packaging smells like fruit loops?

Good Benchmark and Performance

Came a little too delayed. The BlueMaple team communicated about the custom clearance issue. I purchased it at ₹19500 although it was available at around ₹16000 from other sellers.

Don't buy it has some cache clearing problem with no update till now!

Don't buy after a while your read speed will slow down from 6500mbps to 500mbps! Also sk hynix has not released any update till release you can see more than a year has passed but not update .. so don't don't don't buy !
