I love this soap! Last year, I was in France and loved the olive oil soap in my hotel room. Foolishly, I didn’t buy any to bring home. I decided on this Pre de Provence bar and it’s very close to the bar soap in my hotel room. There is really no scent, except a very faint olive oil. It’s a little pricey, but the bar is huge - significantly larger than standard bar soaps - and from what I’ve experienced so far, it’s going to be long-lasting. I’ve been using the soap for about three weeks and it’s hardly made a dent in the size. I will order again - although it may take a while.

Have always loved this brand of soap since first using it in France years ago. The patchouli is light but very authentic. It seems to keep the bugs away from me during the summer!! it does not dry your skin out at all, it’s very balanced and it’s not harsh at all. I am certain that it can be used on babies. I think it’s actually organic and used with olive oil. It foams very nicely, not over the top like some toxic brands do. The bar is very big and thick so it lasts a good while. It is pricier than most bars of soaps, but I’d rather use soap and put something on my body that’s natural and doesn’t have toxic ingredients that cause sicknesses. Absolutely love it.

I’m a 57 year old woman with eczema. Pre de Provence artisanal soap bar are the best for my skin. Olive my favorite. I’ve tried many bar soaps over the years, I always come back to pre de Provence. Trust me. You can’t go wrong with this brand. The bar is large, which I really appreciate. It lathers well and does not dry my skin out. The olive bar didn’t have much of a scent, but some of the other scents are amazing. Lavender smells soo good and is slightly exfoliating. The price is fair based on the size of the bar and how long it last. I highly recommend and I’m a loyal customer.

I bought this as I like to try new soaps. No fragrance smell to the soap. Smells natural in a way. Goes on good and not to many bubbles. Washed off easily and made my skin feel nice and moisturized. Ingridents are natural and the quantity was large. 4 stars because I thought for the size it would last longer. Packaging was good.

This is one of the loveliest and long-lasting artisanal soaps I have used. It smells like a spring meadow and really relaxes you when in the shower. Even the scent left afterwards is so soothing. It is very high-quality, made in France, with organic shea butter, which soften the skin. It leaves skin soft, and your mind refreshed. I love the ingredients and the effectiveness of this soap. It had a gentle later and leaves me feeling ready to face the day.

EDIT: I purchased this bar of soap on November 28, 2018. I used it every day in the shower, keeping it out of getting wet or sitting in water after using. I JUST ordered a replacement bar for this November 17, 2019. So that's ONE BAR of soap that has lasted 1 entire year. And the Gardenia smells amazing. I LOVE this soap. I ordered the Pre de Provence Shea Butter, Extra Large Enrished Artisanal French Soap Bar in Olive Oil and Lavender. (Say that fast seven times. ) I ordered it on a complete whim, influenced by the many positive reviews here. I am SO GLAD I did. First, the reason why I was looking for a lavender soap was due to recently getting back into work after 15 years unemployed. I am now working in retail, and, as many of you fellow retail workers know it....well...it's stressful, to say the least. I wanted to have a complete, relaxing lavender experience when I got home from work. One of the things I wanted was a soap to use in the shower or bath. So I put this on my list, and, next paycheck: bam. As I have Amazon Prime, it arrived within 2 days. It was shipped with another order, so it came without damages or chips. The soap itself was wrapped very simply in clear plastic and it is HUGE. I have been using it for a week, daily, since it was ordered and I have only JUST managed to wear down the pressed words / branding on the one side the company has marked. Note: I always keep my bar soaps out of the shower / bath tub, so it doesn't get gummy or keep getting wet so it dries. So far, after daily use and placing it outside the shower, it hasn't cracked or peeled or broken. As an aside, if you want to use this soap as a weapon, it IS big enough it could be. DO NOT drop on foot! Pros: - Arrived in perfect condition. - Very large bar, very easy to handle and will no doubt last a VERY long time. - Smells amazing and exactly like lavender. - No greasy feel, texture. - Despite having olive oil in it, doesn't even remotely smell like it. As much as I love olive oil for skin care and cooking, I don't want to smell like it and glad this doesn't. - SUPER THICK lather! Wow, does this lather up fantastic, and it actually is a thick, luxurious lather, if that makes sense? Cons: - Unless you don't like the ingredients, are allergic to olive oil, perfume, lavender? I cannot see any. Honest. This soap company has made a life-long fan. Truth.

I purchased this soap five years ago. I got this along with a couple of others and they seemed to dry my skin out a little bit so they were put in the "good soap" box and , not on purpose, forgotten about. Well, today I found that box and to my surprise there was a MILK soap. I immediately tried it....OMG it is still fresh smelling and oh so very creamy and lathers up so rich and thick! What a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of this soap. I am so mad at myself for not already using this, and I am so very happy that it is still in perfect shape. It doesn't dry out my skin but leaves it soft and hydrated. Now I am a forever customer. I am in no way suggesting that you keep this for years before using it. I am just letting you all know that a big mistake on my part has led to a stunning discovery. What excellent soap. This Pre de Provence Artisanal soap, milk scented is the absolute best. I read that it does have milk in it not just a fragrance. If your wondering if it is a good buy, well yes......yes it is. I hope you get to enjoy it as much as I am right now!

The exfoliating bits leave my soap dish really messy but the smell and longevity of the soap makes up for it.
