Perfect for train loving and who likes to build kid.
Gave this as a gift to 10 year old and they loved it. Lots of pieces and takes time but very happy with the quality. Good for older kids. Would order more for them.

So real
OK so for my little guys birthday we went to the train store and spent 200.00. We brought this for Christmas and I wish I would have found it for his birthday. He put it together himself and truly enjoyed it and it looks so much better then the 200.00 engine we brought. He is playing with it non stop. What a gift. PERFECT

Super cool, but with setbacks
This is a really cool train set and fun to put together, but I found the instructions not very easy to understand and often the photos didn't match what it was supposed to look like and inconsistent. AND, there were missing a few parts, which I suppose with that many parts is to be expected but it would be nice to be able to contact the seller to get the missing parts, since some are crucial to the construction. We had left over of some and not enough of others.Overall, a great purchase, but super bummed about the missing parts and not able to contact the seller.

The instructions aren’t as well laid out as the Lego brand typically supplies, but the brick quality is indistinguishable. I can’t believe how big this build was. For $60 you sure get a ton. The train has to be HO scale or at least close to it. I was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic train
We bought it for our son who loves trains. It’s a bit early for him to assemble by himself (lots of tiny details) but he spent a few evenings with his dad building this locomotive. Quality time for sure!Good idea for kids who love trains and tiny details

It is not compatible with Lego track!
The train looks great and fits on straight track but it does not work with curved Lego track. The description said it was compatible. Very disappointing. The pieces do not stay together very well but I haven’t tried the Lego version to do a true comparison.

Great model train, but wheels dont swivel
Overall we were satisfied with the quality and ease of putting this train/cars together. The downside, it is not compatible with any curved tracks. The wheels are fixed straight, so it will not work with a curved track. It would be 5 stars if a swivel wheel mounts were included.
