Small modification made all the difference
Like other reviews, I knew the neck hole would be too large so bought the size L based on the length of my long 7 month old kittens in hopes I could modify it somehow. The suit is a touch loose but covers the key area after being spayed so serves its purpose. In order to make the neck fit snug you don't need to sew it. I made a cut in the back of the neck trim which is essentially a hollow tube. I ran a strip of long gauze fabric through it (that came on the cones the vet gave us... You could use anything really) and tied it in a bow to keep the suit from sliding downwards. You could also slide your cats collar through. One cat was super dramatic originally when putting it on but calmed down pretty fast..she seems to walk a bit awkwardly so I hope she gets used to it, but it's probably a touch too short for her. The other cat is slightly smaller and seems to walk more comfortably in the same size. All in all, not perfect but absolutely easy to modify to get a better fit. 4 stars because the vendor should notice this design flaw and add a tie through the collar as I did, instead of expecting the customer to modify it. Regardless of these minor flaws we are happy, anything beats seeing them struggle and thrash around in those horrible cones.

Cute but ineffective
I bought this item to cover up my cats sutures while they heal. The item is very cute but the product fits smaller than expected, and the neck area is far too large. The body is done up by Velcro, however because the velcro strip is so thin, there is little room to adjust the width and tightness. The neck area is far too loose which allows the cat to wiggle itself out.Really wanted it to work out, but hard to return the item.

Perfect fit and looks adorable!
A small fit perfectly on my 12 week old kitten after a spay and umbilical hernia repair. No mess when she uses the litter box, which I was really worried about, nothing even touches the onesie. The next fits just fine, many reviews mentioned the neck being way too big, but mine is perfect! A little bit of an adjustment to learn how to walk, but it only took a short time. It keeps her and her brother away from the wound, and no cone of shame!! Highly recommended!

Have sewing skills before ordering, neck is very large.
The neck is much too big, I thought it would slip off her body while I'm not looking. I attached this butterfly clip at first because I was nervous to leave her alone, and I was right because it did come off pretty quickly. I ordered two sizes because I wasn't sure how they would fit, and I would donate whichever one doesn't fit (bananas L is too small). The size up (avocados XL) is a better fit for my larger cat. There are definitely better cat onesies out there if your cat is smaller than XL. I also had to order these particular ones because the shipping time was one day versus four, and I needed her protected sooner rather than later.I fixed the neck myself with this stretchy tape you can find at any sewing store (second pic). I measured her neck and pushed the tape through the existing hollow neck (green neck part), and sewed it back shut. The onesie is perfect now, so I ordered more, and am willing to put in the extra work for that best fit. If you cannot sew, than keep shopping! The neck really is too big and stretches way too much.

Good alternative to the cone!
I couldn’t stand to see my 6 month old kitten running into things or struggling to eat with the cone on her head after her spay. I’m so glad I bought this suit! She is now free to roam and can eat without struggle. At first it threw her balance off a lot but she got used to it. Like other review stated, the next hole is way too large. I took a shoe string and fed it through the knit trim to tie it a bit tighter and it fits perfectly! I got a size M for my 6lbs cat.
