Whombatz Toy Foam Shield and Sword Combo Pack

This was supposed to be an awesome set because of the high quality foam material, but there are some design flaws. The bat is perfect the way it is. Okay, maybe a bit short, but it is sturdy and made of high quality foam. The shield is where I have issues in the design. Most notably, the materials. There are metal parts in it: 4 nuts, 4 bolts, and 8 washers. Having sacrificed the overall safety of the product, Wombatz has supposedly created the ultimate shield in durability. This shield is made to last, don’t get me wrong; the straps are solid, the heft is fairly light, and the look of it is very nice. But after two uses one of the lock-nuts popped off, and a washer with it. Now one of the straps flap freely, I am missing pieces, and now I will have to get another pair. This should have been avoided entirely, perhaps with additional glue. Whatever the case, I cannot give this shield set a perfect star rating until I get some kind of confirmation that the creators have fix it.

The swords are the best! More durable that any nerf sword. we have amazing battles with these. Don’t love the shield as much. My adult arm doesn’t fit in the handle and it is held together with metal nuts and bolts. My son hit me with it and drew blood on my hand when it hit the nut. But the shield is essentially unbreakable with any foam sword. The swords are the best though if you frequently like to have battles and nerf swords break to easily.

Great quality and a little harder then I anticipated. A little pricey but after months of use by a child this will definitely hold out for years to come.

So 2 weeks before Christmas, received item and it is missing the sword. I am moving so I would need the replacement sent to an Amazon Locker. Well item is too big.

Kids love it. Heck, I love it. Many great battles have ensued.

My son was really looking forward to this, but it only came with the shield, not the sword.
