Great thriller
I don’t usually read thrillers, but my husband has read all of the Dan Morgan books and thought I might like this one. Once again, he was wrong. I loved this book. I knew the setup: Morgan is a former spy who is now a family man and working for a secret international intelligence agency. I knew to expect action--there was plenty of it, and it was a lot of fun. But I didn’t expect the sweep of the story—besides Boston and California, it also takes place in Russia and the Philippines. There’s a moving romance between Morgan’s partner and a mystery woman. There’s also a terrifying germ warfare threat and a nail-biter search and rescue operation. Another joy for me was seeing the family dynamic. I won’t give anything away except to say that Morgan’s wife and his college-age daughter are both caught up in the terrorist plot. I related to the wife, but the daughter was fascinating, and her story broke my heart. The book was rich, fun, and exciting. Can’t wait for the next one.

Brilliant Read
Incredibly worthwhile read. Leo J Maloney has definitely hit the mark with this very clever and well written story. I really enjoyed the plot, especially since it had me guessing with what was going to happen from one moment to the next. Alex Morgan is the sort of character that you can’t help but like. He’s the ultimate tough guy, with some incredible skills. It’s one of the many reasons I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series.Alex Morgan finally received her first mission since starting with Zeta, after what seemed like an eternity stuck in training. It sounded like a straight forward mission to pose as a student at Berkeley and see exactly what one of the professors was up to. Especially since the professor in question was openly advocating the death of all human life on earth, to save the planet from being destroyed. Unfortunately, a group of Chechnya men had other ideas for the Professor and his students, and they weren’t going to take no for an answer. Luckily for Zeta Dan Morgan has come into contact with the Russian operator Valery Dobrynin. He is sure that the Chechnyan group are here to make a bio weapon that was initially invented years ago, that could have very devastating consequences for the world’s population. I really look forward to more from this Author in the future. Do yourself a favour and read this book, you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic read.
Felt as if I was reading three stories at once. However all was written very well. The Dan Morgan series is one of my favorites to read, especially that the entire Morgan family was involved. Looking forward to War of Shadows to be available. The Alex Morgan section started out a little bland, but soon became very interesting, then following the vacation of Morgan & his wife cut short by the Russian intervention, tied into what was happening with Alex's situation became interesting to the point that I wanted to keep reading until the end. Am so looking forward to the follow up. The Phillipine portion didn't seem totAlly tied in, but was in itself very interesting.
