The camera is SUPER GREAT!!! SUPER GREAT!!! LOVE IT!!! I LOVE the fact that it has a 'shoe' on the top for an LED light also.... It's WONDERFUL!!! HOWEVER, my remote does not work..... We changed batteries and worked and worked with it, but the remote won't work. I've not contacted the company yet.... Hoping they send me a new remote.... Not sure..... If so, I'll change my review... If not, this is my review. The camera is great thus far.... I just would like a working remote.... I'm moving my rating from a 2 star to a 5 star because the company contacted me immediately and have promised to send my a replacement on the faulty remote...THANK YOU!!!! I so appreciate your prompt reply....

Update:I will update my review because the company has a great customer support. I am pleased with the way that they try to keep their customers satisfied.=============================This is the worst thing I ever bought. No one would imagine how much I am dissatisfied.This works best as a toy for your child. Turn it on and your images are almost fuzzy. It is too white. I chose the lowest exposure value and it still did not work. It is very tiny. The instructions are awful. You need to try different things until you know where to start.

This was one of the worst purchases I have ever made. $200. down the drain :( It does not capture sound, even with the hot spot external mic. The zoom is ridiculous. Full zoom wont fill the frame if you are further than 2' away. 10 yards away, looks like a mile!I was not expecting much for $200. (with required chip that is sold separately) but my $30 Walmart phone is far superior to this camcorder.Stay away!

Got this camera in, charged it up and then took it out on a winter camping trip. No stabilization but still looked great as I was hiking. Mic isn't amazing but sure does the job better than the internal mic. Video quality is definitely great for the price.Two major problems i have are the batteries and the cable connections. Batteries won't last at all in cold weather. The second battery that stayed in my bag the whole trip was dead after 5 minutes. I could blame the cold but they are cheap as my canon batteries will hold a charge a lot better.Next issue is the terrible connection to the pc. Can't connect to transfer files or us it as a pc camera. If I hold constant pressure, and a lot of it, on the cable to the camera it will sometimes work.I can't say for sure if I would recommend this camera.

Using the camera on tripod for chorus practice using the remote. The picture quality is very good with clear details. The microphone picks up extremely well, even in a large resonating room. The +db switch on the mic is a nice feature. Records in mov format allowing most video editing software to import the files easily. The lower quality share file is automatically recorded at the same time as the HD file and is handy for doing a quick send out to others. I always use this attached to a tripod with a standard shoe. The remote allows me to be in all the action without having to fumble with controls on the camera. Although I had a small issue with the remote, the vendor quickly resolved the matter to my full satisfaction. Thank you.Recommend? You bet!!!!!!!

Its a nice camera for recording your vacation with the kids or a family get together. Easy to use. Touch screen makes it easier to navigate the menuWIFI is not to connect to your router, only a way to connect your phone or tablet thru an AP where you can preview your videos and control the recordings, it creates a hot spot for you to connect to the camera more like BT. The external microphone creates a more directional sound source if you want to focus on somebody's speech, rather than all the garble around you. Night exposure its not the best, you need to have adequate lighting if you want clear sharp images. Battery life is about 50 min with on/off recording. Overall not bad for the price, camera feels solid and sturdy you can flip the screen if you want to record yourself, there is no viewfinder. Video quality is compared to same as a phone camera

Well built camera with a pretty good picture quality, sound is very good. The included mic does a fine job of capturing quality sound. At this price point I would say this is at the top of the food chain. I would give 5 stars however my only issue is that the zoom is very sensitive and moves pretty quick. I would love to see a software update to let me slow this down. If your looking for a low cost entry level camcorder look no further as I am very happy with the sound and picture quality.

Decent camera for kids, got this for my nephew. Something cheap he can have fun with. Quality is as you would expect from a budget cam. The lens you screw on only adds a slight wider angle, as I had hoped it had more functionality. The menu is very simplistic for child to understand. The camcorder does not come with an SD card so you will need one, it will also need a fresh formatting or else the camera will not record over a memory card with other things on it.
