Tetra Whisper IQ Power Filter, 175 GPH, with Stay Clean Technology, 30 Gallons

I’ve bought this for three different ten gallon tanks. The oldest one of these is two years old- hasn’t broke or bent or anything. Unlike your average PetSmart filter these won’t suck fish in - or at least they haven’t yet for me. These are easy to take apart for yearly cleaning too because all the tubes can be disconnected. These filters also have a super convent little notch you can use to adjust the flow rate. They are also super quiet which is amazing because I keep tanks in the room I sleep in. They start up easily after being plugged in, even if they’re bone dry out of the package. Would recommend them to anyone.

Purchased two, one for each side of my 55-gallon aquarium. This way, I can turn down the flow volume and experience a quiet atmosphere with plenty of filtering. Crystal clear! Exceptionally easy to set up. Filters are easy to obtain. Highly recommend.

Could be a little quieter, lol 🙈🫣mistake it often times for a leaking pipe (me running 🏃🏾‍♀️‍➡️to see if I have a leaking pipe. Not not impressed about the durability- my 3rd. However, it keeps my tank impeccably clean - water clear as crystal.

I liked that this filter was adjustable - The part that goes into the water that suctions the water up can either be shorter or taller. For our 10 gallon tank, we used the shorter one. The filter power is adjustable as well. We just have a beta in there so we keep it on low, seems too powerful in the higher settings. I'd say for being on the cheaper side, it was a good value for our money. Its as quiet as a filter can be i guess lol

I bought this filter in May 2026, today is late August. I’m concerned.. but in a good way I guess? The tank has been cleaned once in the three months and it’s STILL crystal clear. I’ve got four glow fish in there, the filter I had before I had to clean the tank every week. I’d give this filter 6 stars if I could, crazy good product!

Works great, it’s quiet and easy to assemble and take apart for cleaning. I like the flow control for my angelfish it is a needed feature.

This filter was recommended to me by a friend so I purchased one a few weeks ago. It was working really well until one day the tank started losing water. So much so, that it couldn't be blamed on evaporation. It turns out the filter separated where the spillway and the propeller housing connect. Water was being pumped onto the hardwood floor and under the rug. I am going to see if it can be returned or replaced. If it gets replaced, I'll give it another chance and hopefully write a better review.

Best filter I have bought in decades, provided it endures. The flow control was tricky, the difference between trickle and waterfall is a tiny move of the dial, but just having flow control is the main point. It's VERY quiet. I hear the trickle of water, not the filter. The filters themselves are sold as kits you can make for very cheap. The flow control/suction goes pretty fast, i suspect you could use this for a 50G freshwater tank in a pinch.

Comparado con otros filtros del mismo tamaño, mueve un buen volumen de agua con muy poco ruido, funciona de nuevo si se va la luz. Muy buena calidad y recomendable.
