Douglas Laboratories - S.O.D. (Superoxide Dismutase) - Superoxide Dismutase from Liver Extract - 100 Capsules

I was told about SOD back in the 80s by my vet. Had a very elderly dog who had developed joint problems and he told me about this. He didn't want to give the dog any of the drugs available at the time due to the dog's age. The only thing he warned me about was to give with a little food, piece of cheese or bread, whatever. Sometimes it will upset their stomach. My dog went from barely able to get around to walking and playing again. I have used it on many animals since and had great results. There is really no way to overdose on it. The first dog started out on 2 pills twice a day and at the end he was on 5 twice a day. I had another dog who couldn't get up on the couch anymore and within days he was hopping up again.Now, I know people take this stuff too. I have not had experience with it. The vet (the one in the 80s) told me that at the time in Europe, doctors were using it as an infusion once a month for rheumatoid arthritis and having great results. but I don't know anything about that. But if it works that well for my dogs and cats, it probably works for people in the same way.Regardless, I definitely recommend this for your dogs and cats if they are having joint, pain, or bone problems.

Among other health problems, I have digestive problems (constipation, SIBO, bloating), acne and otherwise troubled skin, plus body aches and stiffness. I suspect that the last three are caused at least in part by the digestive problems. I got this product because I thought it might be able to neutralize some of the bad things going on in my digestive system.After trying it out I'm pretty pleased with the results. I'm not sure if it can do this for everyone, and I also take a variety of other supplements which may affect the benefits I received from the SOD, but I wanted to share my experience in the hopes that other people with similar problems might benefit like I have.Also, this is one of the more expensive SOD supplements available on Amazon, but I chose it because it does not contain gliadin (that's the protein in gluten and i have an allergy to it like many others with damaged digestive systems), and it does not contain sorbitol like one of the Source Naturals options does (sugar alcohols aggravate my gut issues).

Douglas Labs makes some great supplements. This one, however, isn't my favorite - which really has nothing to do with the quality of it - but Superoxide Dismutase supplements that also have catalase work a 100 times better for me. This one, unfortunately, contains no catalase. Sadly, the KAL supplement company apparently is no longer making their S.O.D. 3000 that contains catalase. Sigh.
