65" 4k smart tv only worked a couple of hours, seller isn't the best at returning emails or even acknowledging a paying customer
I've always had very good luck buying refurbished electronics and for aproxamently $200 off I was all about it on this item. It was exactly what I was in the market for and came in under budget on what I wanted to spend on a Christmas gift for my wife to finish a room remodel of a new den. I got the tv mounted it to the wall turned it on and started the setup process. Everything is good so far the voice setup was a little annoying but I was able to turn this off in the settings. Once I finished the setup process and started going through the options I was a little disappointed that there were basically no apps worth mentioning. The features weren't very impressive either although it did have a pretty good picture I thought at the time. So basically I'm thinking no big deal on the features nothing a fire stick can't make right. I watched about half a show that night in 4k just to see the improvements in quality since we purchased our last 4k tv around 3 years ago and the bigger screen size from 55" to 65" with this model. All is well so far I got kinda tired and decided to turn in for the night. I wake up the next morning it's a Saturday and I have the whole day off work to play around with the new tv setup the surround sound and all that good stuff. I walk in grab the remote turn the tv on and........... I wait the backlight clearly comes on but no picture. So I set up a firestick I had in the kitchen to see if a different input would make a difference and still nothing. I could actually hear noise from the tv as I moved up and down but absolutely no picture what so ever. Keep in mind I had hung this tv and hid the box before my wife got home from work Friday wanting to make this a surprise and early Christmas gift I had intended on bringing her in Saturday and showing it off. It was a huge disappointment to me as I felt I had let her down and probably should have done more research on this particular tv. I tried everything to get it to work I even called Phillips customer service to have them walk me through all the troubleshooting steps thinking this can't be right a brand new tv only working a day. They walked me through everything and I mean everything I was on the phone for atleast 2 hours. They couldn't figure it out so I had to unmount the tv, repackage the t.v. which wasn't an easy process knowing how big it is and it didn't come in a regular tv box that u take the straps off and lift it right off. This was just s regular box that I had to cut to get the t.v out. So I had to tape the he'll out of the box to make sure it was all packaged and protected right to send back. I had to load this thing back up so I had to get a neighbor to come help me load it and a ups employee to help me unload because if I had ups pick it up at my house I would have cost me an extra $15 as the return was only good for a drop off and I wasn't about to spend any extra money on this thing inwas already frustrated to say the least with a brand new t.v that only worked basically a couple hours. Through this whole process I made atleast 7 attempts at contacting the seller to see about possible replacements or just a straight up refund. Out of 7 attempts to contact i got one message back that basically said that if I had someone work on the t.v as far as a possible repair as Phillips had recommended to me on the phone that they would not be able to give me a refund. I'm thinking here I get the faulty t.v I make numerous attempts to contact on an item that wasn't cheap by any means and basically I get an email with that. So I said forget it I never talked to Phillips again and I just sent the t.v back on and by the way they sent me a return shipping label and a day later had Amazon contact me to say we haven't seen your return item yet if u could please attach the tracking information that would be great. Overall it was just an unpleasant experience and probably one of the worst I've had buying through amazon. Oh and don't worry everything worked out I ended up buying a brand new LG 65" ultra hd smart tv for around $100 more then I paid for this and the features are night and day. It gives u every possible app u could want with tons of features has an incredible hdr setting and has a better picture. Just know that I'm about 3 weeks into this process and I'm still waiting on a refund well see how that goes and how quickly they are to give your money back. I personally wouldn't buy again from this particular seller. Lack of communication, sold faulty equipment that litterally worked a couple of hours, still waiting on a refund.I'll update this review once i recieve my refund to let everyone know exactly how long it takes.But new people it's worth the extra $100 for sure.** Update finally refund is processed on Dec 31 and should be available in my account within 3-5 days so by Jan 5th I'll have my money back for a tv that wasn't meant to work long term. A month to get my money back and able to buy a replacement if I had to wait on the refund. Keep that in mind.

Affordable upgraded 4k UHD TV
I bought the 4K UHD TV and have had it working for about 2 weeks. The TV at this size looks amazing. The set-up was easy but the voice assist while going through this process was a little annoying but after 10 minute installation i just turned it off. The Performance was fast and easy to use. The TV Resolution looks very good better than my 65' Samsung 1080 HD (2015 model), so i can tell you the upgrade for me was well worth it. I have a Xbox 1 X and the UHD makes the great looking game even better, more life like. This is a good TV if your looking to purchase a affordable 4k TV.

So far the tv is good but wi fi dosent work had to connect with wired...its the second tv I buy and ofcourse they will refund but the incovinience of having to pack tv and send it back to much to deal with im just keeping it hopefully the tv will last :(

Dont sleep on Philips!
Wow! Who knew Philips made such an awesome tv. I have the 65" with the glossy "piano black" finish. It has all the new features and a beautiful 4k picture.

DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!
What an awful waste of money. We bought ours yesterday and will be returning it tonight for a TCL Roku. First disappointment was that you can't download additional apps, whatever is on it is all you get.Second, It doesn't work!! Last night we had difficulty with the remote. This morning I turn it on and go to Netflix (considering that's the only good app that comes on it), it freezes, and shuts off. Then it won't turn back on, not even from the back....after a few hours it magically turned back on, but now the remote doesn't work so you can't even change the channel....What a piece of junk! Save yourself and don't waste your money.

Headache after headache with this TV.
Theres a few major issues with this. Phillips actually should not be allowed to sell such junk. The picture has a foggy look to it, we actually thought maybe there was protective film over the screen that we did not take off after removing it from the box, but no...its like that. Every single time you want to use the wifi, the tv needs to be unplugged and plugged back in, then you need to retype all your info. Convenient huh? The tv randomly connects phones when it just decides to do so oddly it does this when it is turned off. The screen comes on, on its own and glows blue and plays the sound from videos on YouTube. Speaking of YouTube, when you want to use the YouTube app, you must unplug the TV first and then it will log in. Thats as far as it will go. The screen goes black, a YouTube bar shows at the bottom of the screen but only sound will go.This is not an investment, it is a total waste of money and a stressful headache.

It has a really good picture quality, however everything else about it is complete trash. It doesn't save anything, every time you turn it on you have to redo your micro dimming, it disconnects or looses connection to the internet and you have to re enter your password almost every time you turn on the TV. It's a huge hassle and not worth the price for this TV. Get another brand
