Fantastic tankless water heater!!!!
Very well built. Enjoy unlimited hot water. Makes a kind of humming noise while inuse. But this way you will know it's running properly. My kids love bubble baths and we use a lot of water for normal household use. Now we don't have to worry about waiting for the boiler to heat up water. If you plan on having a tank less and a tank water heater running at the same time. You will also need a recirculating pump . Two- Stop valve or also known as check valve. And would be awesome to have comfort valves installed under sinks. This will get hot water coming out of your faucets in A split second. The stop valve or check valve is for preventing the water backing up into the tank or tank less water heater. Hope this information will help if your having this setup.

Great price here
This works perfect. Make sure you get multiple instalation quotes. I had quotes as low as $2,700 up to $4,700. I wouldn't install it yourself unless you have experience working with gas.It takes a minute to get the cold water out of the pipes, but once it's out, the water stays hot as long as you want.

Nice Water Heater
This water heater has exceeded all my expectations. We have 4 bathrooms, and I was concerned about this water heater's ability to replace our two 50 gallon units we had in our house. Our handy man save us by coming to the rescue when one of our tanks failed and started leaking. He actually was the one that convinced me to go tankless, and help me pick this unit. I should have stopped their with him. After he installed the unit (it was not installed correctly), and did not function as documented. I went out to the Rinnai website, found one of their locally approved installers, and they came out and did a fantastic job installing and programming my new Rinnai tankless water heater. It took about a week to have this system learn our household hot water demands, but once it figured it out, we have hot water on demand throughout our house. One word of caution, if you have small children, the water comes on hot almost instantly. The warm-up warning period is non-existent with tankless heaters, so you will need to be careful if you have very small children. Other than that word of caution, I highly recommend this unit.

Worth the investment
To tank or not to tank, that was my dilemma and I decided tankless. The key for me was price shopping certified Rinnai installers and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Installation was a half of day in an obstacle free environment. My Rinnai unit was the RCSiN 199,000 btu unit with recirculating capabilities and is a true game changer in my four bedroom home. Hot water on demand with very little waste water has proven to save me time, money and I can now use my jetted tub without waiting. My installer recommended that I contact the gas company for a “increased volume” gas regulator found on the outside of my house free of charge. The gas company came out within two weeks and it’s now a done deal. The Rinnai unit is very good looking and super quiet during operation. It’s been roughly 3 months and I highly recommend Rinnai for customer service, quality, features and ease of installation. Very satisfied thus far.

For those sitting on the fence - tank vs tankless water heater
Our water tank heater started died and started leaking and I did quite a bit of research and read reviews and lot of articles about pros and cons of tankless water heater. We replaced our 70 gallon tank water heater with this Rinnai model and its performance is amazing - better than the tank water heater. I will compare the gas bill and post an update on gas savings in few months, but so far so good. The product was shipped with in 3 days. Came nicely packed. It is made in Japan. I hired a local contractor to install it. It went very smooth. The venting part in the instructions is quite confusing as there are many options presented.About the mail-in-rebate part, although it says our local gas company (Washington Gas) will provide a $400 mail in rebate, but it is not straightforward. If you want to get that rebate, then you will have to get it installed through the companies that are approved and listed on Washington Gas website. I tried to call a few companies, however, most of them are not aware of this mail in rebate. There was one who said that I will get the rebate, but the cost of installation quoted was so high and I had to get the water heater from that company. If you are in VA and have Washington Gas, it may not work out.Overall, I am happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend tankless water heater over big tanks. It will save space and hopefully save gas in long run. Given that there is $600 tax rebate, the cost of tankless water heater is almost same as that of a good tank water heater.Bottom line, if you are sitting on the fence and confused after reading reviews, articles and blogs about pros and cons, don’t waste your time and get a tankless water heater. Rinnai seems like a great choice and this particular model is performing well in a 3.5 bathrooms house with other dishwasher, washer etc.

Game changer
We've had our unit installed for one month now. Oddly enough our first installation estimate was $5,000. Our second estimate was $1000. Tough choice lol. We absolutely love it! The recirc system is pretty cool. Instead of turning the shower to full hot and waiting for a minute, We now wait about 5 seconds. We also like that it's quiet and smaller. When we first got it up and running I ran the shower, garden tub, kitchen faucet, and both master bathroom sink faucets simultaneously and our tankless hot water heater seemed to have no problem whatsoever meeting the demand. It's too early to learn if we'll get a sizeable return of investment on natural gas monthly utility bills. For the cost of the unit on Amazon (About $2,000), installation cost ($1,000), and credits we'll receive ($800)...this is a no brainer.
