I had the previous version of this light which had a charging base. I liked that product better because I liked having the base for it to sit in for charging and the light was softer. I also liked the feel of that light better (more solid) however that light had a fatal flaw which was that there were apparently wires than ran from the charging end up to the tip where the lights were and this means the wires had to bed with the flip top. So eventually the wires wear out. This new light doesn't have that problem. And probably most people would probably prefer the USB cable charging system. Just note that it is not the universal cable that is now being used, so it won't be interchangeble with your phone cords etc. The light is very bright, a little too bright for me. But I like this particular light, and the older version because I read in bed. And rather than clipping the light to the book, I lie on my back and I just put the light on my chest to read and the top flips up to any angle you prefer. I also use the light as a portable night light. If you get up in the middle of the night and don't want to turn the light on, just grab the light and walk without having to turn on a light. There are not many rechargeable reading lights on the market and I have searched high and low. This is probably the best one available. (Incidentally, I had 2 of the previous version of these lights. One died because the wires wore out, but one is still working though it sometimes flickers. But the light and charging apparatus works fine, and that light is probably 8 years old, so I expect to get a long life out of this one.)

This light is not as sturdy as the previous model that had a recharable stand, however it is lighter in weight and easy to charge with charging cable

This book light is sufficient for my needs, though I was somewhat disappointed with a few things.It feels very light and very cheap. I'm a bit apprehensive about how long it will last; it feels like it would fall apart if I dropped it or if it got knocked around in luggage. I'll just have to wait and see how long it lasts.It's also not quite as bright as I'd hoped, but it's bright enough to read by, so that's sufficient.Its clip that holds it onto a book is quite weak, but the entire device itself is so light that it seems like the clip will work out just fine. The clip is weak, but it doesn't need to be strong.I'm very happy with its compact size. It folds up just as shown by the seller, and it will be very easy to bring along on any trip.Overall, I think this is a good product for its price. I'd be willing to recommend it to a friend with the above caveats.

Does not clip to e-readers as advertised.However I reached out to the company who responded quickly. They stated they are in the process of updating the descriptions on Amazon. They have offered to refund my money, and send me an e-reader light. I am very impressed with the customer service. Just please note, this is perfect for regular books only. Charged quickly, nice bright light.

I like how small and flat this is. I don't clip it on my book, I use it while lying in bed and just place it on my stomach, aiming the light toward my book. If I am alone, I can make the light brighter by opening it more. If my husband is trying to sleep, I close it somewhat and the light is dimmer. I bought 3. I keep one in my suitcase,, its great for travel, and 2 by the bed so I always have a charged one. Oh, and I love that I no longer go through batteries as I did with other lights. This one plugs into my laptop to charge, or the same plug I use to charge my iPad.

Use it for everything, it's my go to light, the red/green indicator was a nice touch that older models didn't have, this light is bright, the battery last for hours with it on and it's tough but can be taken apart to make adjustments if needed. Overall I love it, thank you.

The light is more bright than any other book light I have tried. It is good that it is rechargeable. I was a little surprised that you had to plug it into the hard drive but that is not a problem here My only suggestion would be to improve the holder. It is not flexible enough to attach to a hard cover book.and I would like to see it accommodate more pages.

I have tried many different booklights. This is absolutely the best one I have used. It is bright and holds a charge for a long time.It can be positioned in several different angles. It is more stable than one of a similar style, but different brand, that I used for several years. It folds compactly and is convenient for travel. I have used it both with Kindle and with a hardcover book.The only thing I wish were different is that it used a regular USB mini connection to charge. This charger works well. A regular USB mini would just be a bit more convenient. Still, I highly recommend this light.
