Figured it would help shoppers to see a video not produced in sterile environment from the manufacturer. Saw the mixed reviews, but there were more than bad, so I decided to give it a shot. Needed to buy two of these to meet my storage/access requirements. Saw a lot of bad reviews about the fingerprint sensor, so thought a video showing the programming and subsequent execution of a biometric opening might be helpful for the community. I will caveat by saying that one safe did seem a bit more finicky than the other. First safe was nothing short of flawless. Entered two fingerprints and immediately opened safe multiple times with both prints. The second safe programmed as expected, but I had to make several attempts to open. Don't know if maybe my finger was getting deformed by pushing the program button, so I cleared out the fingerprints (hold program button until fingerprint pad turns green), gave my fingers time to normalize, then (as you can see in the video), I pushed the program button with one finger and but programmed the opposite finger. To program: 1. Push program button in safe for 3 seconds until blue lights flash twice (they will beep too, but I turned off audio alerts [hold #1 button until lights flash blue]). 2. Tap and lift finger 6x (slightly adjusting finger position). Based on what I've experienced so far with this safe, this "adjusting" is like you would do for programming an iPhone, but don't adjust quite as much... too much adjusting seems to make it less likely to register fingerprint. 3. You can see that one of my taps didn't take (no flash of blue lights). Not sure if this is an example of the more finicky nature of this particular safe, but regardless, I still had six successful taps (finger pad blinks green), and safe opened immediately afterward as expected. Final assessment: Safe feels very sturdy. Maybe it won't keep out a determined criminal with tools (and time), but it will surely keep out the prying hands of any visiting children (the reason I got them), and safe successfully opened through all means it's supposed to (code, biometric, and key). Don't have a lot of time with safe yet, but as of first use, I would recommend this safe

This is an incredible safe! The gun slides out super fast. Most importantly, the fingerprint scanner is incredibly accurate. I have other gun safes, where no matter how many times I put in my fingerprint, it still fails. This safe on the other hand, is accurate and fast with the fingerprint. I have 2 of these and am currently searching for a 3rd (haven't decided on the style, but will be staying with RPNB) This safe is also very solid. Not like some other ones. Their customer service is also excellent which I needed to resolve one small issue. I'd highly recommend this! THANK YOU!

Wanted a safe to put on my night stand. Couldn’t be happier with this. Construction of the unit and mount seems pretty heavy duty. I used the included install kit to mount it to my night stand. Set up was a breeze. Need to put 4 AAA batteries in the safe to start the set up. I used energizer lithium so they would last longer. The keys it comes with are a special barrel type so don’t lose them. Had to do the finger print a couple times till it captured mine. Default code is 1234 but I changed that asap. Been playing with it all day and it seems like it’s getting smoother each time it opens. Perfect solution to keep your gun secured and close by. Going to change out the screws most likely to something a little stronger in the future.

It worked great until it didn’t. I owned this for almost a month before it suddenly stopped reading both my fingerprints and my PIN code. I should have trusted my gut and avoided a cheap electronic lock for firearm storage. Fortunately, it failed during a normal day and not a real emergency, so I was able to return it. I have since switched to a StopBox (made in the USA) and sleep much better at night. Please be smart and spend a little more on something USA made, Preferably mechanical lock. Better safe than sorry.

Easy install, easy to program and easy to access to weapon upon opening. Battery access is great being on top but the cover is not, hides the key opening and cover hard to remove or slide out of the way. I wanted to give a 5 star but key battery cover hard to open and knocked it down one star. Still great handgun safe I recommend!
