Great Microscope
Great little microscope for the price. Good magnification on the display. Hdmi output to my 55" tv worked great. The hdmi output from the microscope to the TV is 1920x1080 not 4k which was a shame but can't complain & the 7" display is also 1920x1080. The 4k @24fps is ie video recordings. I tested it using lens L looking at a 0201 resistor which is 0.6mm x 0.3mm.

Great microscope for the price.
I'd highly recommend this microscope. With the three lenses it has versatility. I use mine with the L lens for close up PCB work. It has a great working range and has the ability to stream through the HDMI port at the same time as viewing the work piece on the 7" screen. Ideal for viewing on a bigger screen. The picture quality of the built in screen is very good compared to other microscopes. The image quality from the camera sensor is also impressive. Thr are a few things to bear in mind though. The UHD resolution along with it's 1080p 60fps capability is for recording on to the SD card only and not the output resolution of the HDMI port or via USB. Also it's not a true 4K resolution as the aspect ratio at that setting is 4:3 and not 16:9. And if you wonder what the 3.5mm jack socket is for, which is sometimes hidden under a QC sticker, it's for an optional endoscope camera. Overall I would definitely recommend this microscope over others. You won't be disappointed.

Andonstar AD246S-M HDMI Digital Microscope
Very good Microscope. Would have been 5 stars if the monitor/ head unit wasn’t made of Plastic. A real shame, as the rest is of metal construction. Quite easy to put together, but makes you a little uneasy when attaching the head unit. Magnification is well up to the job with the 3 lenses included.

Very good microscope for the price.
Just what I expected really good microscope for children and adults wish it had Bluetooth so I could get the photos to my iPad easier so I had to order a micro Sim adapter as well. Overall, the build quality is sturdy and the lcd screen is excellent. The buttons can be difficult to be seen use the remote it’s easier. The different microscope attachments are very good and was easy to set up.

Good quality and reasonable working distance
The most important thing with using a microscope for soldering is getting a decent zoom while still being able to get a soldering iron underneath and this is known as the working distance. The long distance lens which comes with this set is very good as you can see from the first two photos. Plenty of room to work and very usable magnification. Fully lowered there is much less room but still usable. As with all of this type of microscope you loose depth perception and don't have so much control over the positioning which can be an issue with larger objects. However it is much cheaper than a stereo microscope with a boom arm which is what you would otherwise need

Fantastic Microscope for my SMD Soldering and more
This is an excellent Microscope. I'm using it for soldering SMD components and it really helps. It came with everything you need to get started with it. Has various swappable lenses for different levels of magnification (from close to mega-close!). It actually comes with some slides that contain stuff you can look at under this microscope. You can snapshot, record what you're looking at on the screen. You can even plug in a second HDMI display. I plugged a bigger screen in and it works perfectly. Long story short, this was a fantastic buy at a very reasonable price and comes with everything you should need to get Microscoping (if that is a word!) Rob :D

REALLY happy with it
I left a bit of a grumpy review on this item, there was an issue with two of them that I'd recieved where the arm wouldn't go down the shaft. This was a fault with the small clamp shown in the picture - it was just a mm too small. Andonstar instantly got in touch, and acknowledged the issue and sent me a new clamp directly from China within a few days. Once this arrived I could build the microscope and I was blown away with the image quality. My only 'moan' is the 'Sound Record' seems to do nothing, which is a shame, because I hoped it would record the sound during recording and I'd be able to sync it up with my other cameras for making YouTube videos. Would definitely recommend this otherwise

Great as a soldering aid for the aged.
Packaging and delivery were great. The USB mains adapter was faulty. I should have looked at the specs at closer detail. It’s not 2000 times optical zoom. But it works really well as a soldering aid so going to keep it for that as it works perfect for that application.

Amazing Electronic Microscope
I don’t write many reviews, but for this product I feel like I should. I solder 0402 components and it’s a PITA to use a normal magnifying glass, so I started looking around for electronic ones. I was on the fence about buying one, especially at this price point because I didn’t know how good it would be. I was surprised by the quality of the microscope. The picture quality is amazing. Setting it up is simple, just a few screws, didn’t really need the instructions. The entire thing is stable, I’ve bumped into it while maneuvering around it and it barely moves. The helping hand lights are incredibly bright and light up whatever PCB you’re working on. I like the fact that it comes with an SD card for pictures and videos. One thing I wish it came with were actual helping hands. Not a fan of the tabs to hold down a board. I’m sure this can be an add on with another Amazon product. Overall if you’re on the fence about buying this, don’t be. Just buy it, really good product for the money. Might even be worth it to buy it’s big brother, with the ESD pad and helping hands for a few more bucks.

My baby
I've just started out in the electronics hobby and went way overboard and just bought everything I could ever need, this included. Did I really need this? No. Do I regret it? No. This thing is my baby and I'm absolutely in love with it. I first got into microscopy at about 13 when my mom bought me an antique 1959 Japanese made microscope, thing weighs at least 30lbs of pure steel lol, but I love it also, and it wasn't cheap whatsoever. The reason I'm bringing this up, is because this Adonstar is just as good, if not better than my antique beast of a scope (in terms of zoom and picture quality, definitely not build quality lol). I've always wanted something I didn't have to squint one eye to look into, and I cannot think of a better way to look at tiny things than this. It's fantastic for electronics as it has a long throw (or long focal length) lens (the L lens) that can focus on everything from 30 centimeters to I think about 12? And 2 other lenses, one of which can literally see the bumpy surface of an ants head, it's insanely magnified. I really love the huge range of magnification each lens can do, but you will have the fiddle with the different knobs. What I do, is max out the knob on the lens itself (either close or far), and then move the microscope until it's clear, bit of a trick for ya. The 3 lenses are nice to have and you can pretty much get as far or as close as I think you'll ever need to get short of getting an electron microscope. I also LOVE the screen, holy crap is it ever crisp. I still can't believe my eyes when I zoom onto a circuit board or insect and it finally comes into focus and it's just sooo clear and vivid. The 2 LED lights are really nice as well, super bright. But I wish you could turn them on/off and dim them with the remote (yes remote, pretty handy actually). You can only control the lights with the other wired switch, but it also turns the scope on and off? Kind of weird, wish it only controlled the lights. It also as a separate slide holder with a built in light, which is a great addition, although you do have to unplug the other LED lights to power it. A really strange thing I can't figure out, is that there are 2 power cords. One of which powers just the screen itself, and another that powers everything. I've no idea why they just didn't include the one that powers everything, but hey, an extra USB cable is nothing I'll complain about, just strange. With all the positive things I have to say, there are definitely some caveats. First being the way to move the microscope up and down. Yes it has the knobs the move it up and down, but the throw is very short and is really only for focusing. Otherwise, you have to loosen a screw and move the whole thing up and down, I quite dislike this method. My antique microscope can go all the way from max height to minimum height with just twisting the knobs, I really wish this microscope had this, but I suppose it saves on price. My other grip is that in my kit as least, the emergency stopper screw wasn't long enough to actually tighten the stopper, thankfully Adonstar has included spare ones and the spare was able to tighten it fully, but I was a bit disappointed after spending this kind of money. My only other real gripe is that the screen and microscope material does feel of fairly cheap plastic, but again, this is a price saving measure so I'm ok with it overall. I can tell this brand really puts care into their products, so I don't think of it as corner cutting, just cost saving that makes it down to us customers (as you can tell by the price, insanely cheap for what it can do). The UI is nicely laid out and simple to use, I never needed the manual at all. The video and picture ability is very crisp and clear, although I've not found a way (nor do I think it's possible) to change the pictures from a square to the full aspect ratio. I think the pics are in 4:3, while the videos are in 16:9 (or whatever it is, but it does fill the entire screen). I'm a bit annoyed at that, as I've had to retake some pics as what I wanted to capture didn't fit into that tiny 4:3 square. I won't take a point off as in the grand scheme of things, it's a very minor issue, and I also could be just not noticing the option to change that. The videos are super smooth at FHD60, it's actually crazy, and the ability to go up to 4K24 is nice if you need the extra quality bump, although 30fps would have been nicer. Also I think the 7" screen is more than enough, I was debating between it and the 10.1", but I'm glad I went with this. It has the option for HDMI out via a mini-HDMI port, and once I have more desk space I think I'll output it to a small TV anyway. Plus, even if you don't have a cheap TV/monitor for it, 7" is probably more than enough for someone anyway. I think eventually I may try to make or find a different stand for it, as I think it's by far the weakest link, and I'm always sketched out having to change the distance (I just slowly move the emergency stopper down bit by bit, it takes longer but if I accidentally lose grip it's more than worth it). My only other very small gripe is that I wish there was a quick change ability for the lenses, I like to swap them out often and having to remove the 2 thumb screws each time is a bit of a drag (for example, on my antique microscope it has the 3 already mounted, and you just rotate them to change to each one). Overall, I feel bad even saying anything negative about this scope as I REALLY quite like it, of all the expensive products I've gotten lately for this hobby, this definitely takes the cake as my favorite piece of equipment and I think it always will be. If it broke, I'd get another in a heartbeat.
