Pretty handy little tool
Bought this to clean the gutters of my townhouse rental because I'm "not allowed" on the roof. Thankfully this little gadget worked very well and kept me clean and dry. Used it to clear a blockage in a downspout during a heavy rainstorm and it cleared it in seconds. If you are smart about how you use the tool, follow the instructions and don't force everything around like a caveman this will perform well and will last quite a while

Pay Attention to the Direction … Literally
For those worried that the tool loosens whilst in use: have no fear. It’s not a problem if you follow directions … clean right to left. When using the tool, start on the right and pull toward the left. This actually has the effect of keeping the tool nice and tight. Remember: righty tighty - lefty loosey. This direction is outlined in the video (QR code with product or look up on website or YouTube). The tool is highly adjustable and easy to adjust. With so many uses, it’s a great value for the price. The tool is plastic, but effectively engineered, well manufactured, and strong enough for its intended use. It’s even sturdy enough for one off label use: I hooked the end of my garden hose into the tool and then lifted it 20+ feet into the air. Although the hose and flowing water were heavy, it was no problem for this amazing tool and was the perfect tool to flush out the gutter after cleaning.Super clever design! Always right to left … Haven’t tried using it for a paint brush, but I did also use it to spider webs off the high exterior corners of the house. It can also be fitted with a brush to get those pesky cobwebs out of double story interior corners and entryway chandeliers.Kinda fun! Super clever! Highly recommend!

Not perfect, kind of works
Until someone invents a tool we can use to clean leaves out of gutters without getting on a ladder, this thing works okay. The main issue is if your gutter has support brackets every few inches, this is going to hit them and get caught up. Also no matter how I position/direction the tool gets loose and you just can't get good leverage with it on a pole. I used it "hand held" on some low gutters and the shape worked great for scooping out leaves and mud.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!
This was a cheap piece of plastic and a waste of money. I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! I screwed this onto my already existing long pole to reach the gutters and every time I attempted to scoop debris from gutter, it would began to unscrew from the pole, never staying sturdy enough to clean anything. I spent too much time trying to keep it tightened. I didn't get much of anything done. All I got was frustration and tired arms. Bad idea!!!

Totally worthless for me
Could not get leaves out of the gutter. I was able to move even soggy leaves but trying to get them out of the gutter caused the tool to get stuck. Tried all angles and twisting but the leaves wouldn't come out and to release the tool from the gutter it had to leave them behind. Even tried another gutter where I knew there were dry loose leaves and after several seconds of pushing, "flicking", and dragging only a few leaves came out and my arms and upper body started to fatigue. The only positive is that with all that effort and force, the tool stayed attached to the pole, didn't twist, and didn't break. I don't know if it's how the roofers installed the shingles, but there's no way to twist the tool to "shovel" the leaves out without the tool getting stuck.Went out on day 2 with a ladder. My shingles extend over the gutter. You can't get the shovel into the gutter without turning it, therefore you can't flick the leaves out. Upped by one star since I did use the tool to cut down on ladder movements, but it was still more efficient to pull the leaves out by hand.

Not the miracle I hoped for—but I’m upgrading my review after a second use
UPDATED FROM THREE STARS TO FOUR—Don’t even think about using this on wet leaves/gutters. IF it’s dry, and IF you’re just doing a quick “touch-up” cleaning, it works ok. At this price, it can’t be beat. Get one, and just keep it in your arsenal. It will come in handy and you will get your money’s worth.ORIGINAL REVIEW--I’m turning 60 next week. Anything that keeps me off of the ladder is getting a tryout. This didn’t make the cut. From the ground, when you’re trying to scoop stuff out of the gutters using that “flip” action, it just doesn’t work as well as it looks in the pictures and videos. I think it’s well designed, certainly sturdy enough, but the laws of physics (and those pesky gutter braces) just get in the way. After 30 aggravating minutes I got mad enough to get the extension ladder and gloves, carry it 150 feet from the back to the front of the house, climb it six times, and scoop the #@$% gutters out by hand—like I ALWAYS do. There IS A WAY to mount the scoop to the pole so that you can use it like a rake, or “draw” the stuff in the gutter toward you—but you have to be on a ladder to do that, which defeats the purpose of why I bought this thing. I don’t regret the price, I regret the effort I put into it. A blower extension or a hose-end sprayer on a pole is a better way to go. I’m giving this 3 stars because the price is right, it’s solidly built and well-conceived, but it’s impossible to accomplish what this thing is attempting to do.
