No One Wants Wine-Dyed and Scented Clothes! These Protectors Do Their Jobs!
In the past, I have traveled with wine rolled in towels and packed in checked luggage . . . and held my breath until I could unpack and see I escaped a mess of cabernet-soaked belongings. Since I don't enjoy stress, and with summer travel approaching, I bought these bags in advance. I liked that they were simple and, from what previous reviews noted, seemed sturdy. I have to say, these bags are true to the photos in appearance and true to other positive reviews: they are simple, sleek, and THEY WORK! The bags themselves are made of a pretty thick material and the double seal closures (like a Ziploc bag in style, but much thicker/stronger) are very secure. You can easily tell when you have sealed them correctly (I worried about whether the first two bags were actually closed because they zipped so easily--but then I had a misfire on bag three that taught me I will know and feel when the closure isn't done right or completely). After you do the two Ziploc-style seals, you fold the bottom a few times and secure that with a strong velcro strip closure. Inside, it feels like bubble wrap. I don't know how long that bubble padding will hold up, but I have no problem inserting new bubble wrap, if needed. In fact, I debated doing so as an extra precaution (there was enough room around those bottles of cabernet sauvignon to insert extra bubble wrap), but I decided I'd truly just try out the protectors as they are. Of course, being a bit anxious still (I was packing the wine with my clothes, after all!), I put the protected wine bottles into jumbo Ziploc bags as a back-up. I had four bottle at the bottom of my case (with no padding between the protected bottles and the bottom of my suitcase) and my clothes (in their packing cubes) on top. When I unpacked the bottles after two plane rides, I was thrilled that there wasn't any wine swishing in the outer Ziploc bags. I carefully undid each protector while holding each bag with its top facing down, put my hand inside to feel for wetness, and was ecstatic when three of them were dry--all fine! The one bag that had wine in it was not owing to the bottle breaking but to a leak (I didn't see when purchasing a new wine that it was a twist-top versus corked top. So the leak came from the twist-seal failing, I'm guessing from the air pressure changes.). However, the wine that leaked was contained to the protector bag itself, which showed me that the seals on the bag work. In the end, I easily cleaned the inside of the bag and it's now back in circulation. On my return trip, I didn't have any wine to tote, but I used one bag to protect a jar. It again did its job. The other three folded flat and fit easily in the pocket of my suitcase. On top of the bags working beautifully, I love that I got four in my order. Great value! I'm very happy with my purchase and looking forward to my next trip in July, when they will again be put to good use! UPDATE (November 16, 2018): I'm thrilled to report that the four protectors are still going strong. They've been on many more trips with me, as well as with my parents (to whom I lent them), with no broken bottles or bag failures--and, as a result, no ruined clothes or drenched luggage. It's a treat to tote along bottles of wine on trips (versus hunting wine down when you reach your destination) as well as buying bottles of anything to be able to bring home without worry of how to pack those bottles up.

Reliable protector
I haven't used the wine protector yet, but I have no doubt it will be totally reliable. It's very thick with additional bubble wrap included, which will keep it from breakage. The secure closure will keep the wine safe from spilling or leaking.

Great for long travel
Works well to travel with liquor bottles and glass condiment jars. Already used on multiple trips and there hasnโt been any issue! Chose these over the cheaper ones you need to blow up before use. Worth it for the ease and fact that they are reusable

So far so good
Easy to use, successfully got several bottles of gin home from our trip to the U.K. (but they were also well padded with clothing in the suitcase). Have only used once, so waiting to see how they do long-term.

Worth the confident transport of wine (and other liquids)
I've purchased a wine skin from the airport in the past, but haven't flown with bottles for a while. For Thanksgiving, I wanted to bring some wine, beer, olive oil, and blood orange juice home, but got pushed into flying last minute due to bad weather/driving conditions. This pack of wine bottle protectors was awesome! They seemed sturdy, protected, and fairly well cushioned; I loved the secondary removable bubble liner insert, double zip lock and the roll and tuck velcro to close everything up. They were versatile enough for the items I needed packed (including a more rectangular 1L olive oil bottle, and a 32oz/1 quart rectangular paper/cardboard juice container), which was great. To be extra careful, I did still enclose the one holding juice in an extra plastic bag just in case, and padded the interior of my luggage (for context, this was a standard carry-on size soft sided travelpro piece) with some bubble wrap and hand towels. Even though I really liked the wine protectors and felt they were quite secure, I'd still always recommend additional caution and packing to best shield the bottles. I got the black version, so slapped some painters tape labels on the outside just in case there was any question about the contents, but it seemed TSA did not need to open my luggage to have a look. Everything arrived successfully and 100% intact! Since these protectors seem like they'll hold up well for multiple uses, I'm very happy with the purchase.

Worked great for storing bottles of liquid in a suitcase on a plane
I got these to take to Mexico when I went in November. I used 2, my cousin used 1 and my uncle used one. They all sealed excellently and none of the seams tore or busted open. My tequila and the other stuff bought came back in perfect condition and I know for a fact that some of the luggage was handled a little roughly when being transferred through customs. I'd highly recommend these for a non-bulky way to protect a standard wine bottle size of liquid items when traveling!

Very useful
Although I wish I didn't have to buy four, everything about the product itself has left me very satisfied. I've traveled with them (only two at most) a few times now and while I still get a little anxious, they've done their job.

It worked!
Used recently to transport a bottle of wine Canada to England. The protective sleeve was quite robust and secure, and held the bottle quite tightly. Survived in checked luggage without a problem and arrived in England safe and secure. Good value in that one receives two sleeve in the package. Recommend.
