Pinzon 300 Thread Count Percale Cotton Sheet Set - Twin, Platinum

After months of trying to figure out how to have sheets that last a long time, I've learned that 100% Cotton Percale sheets 250 thread count or more is the way to go. Key words for sheets you don't want to buy are "sateen" or "wrinkle free". I want crispy sheets and these are great.

One day I stopped and wondered about why I liked some of my sheets more than others. It was here that I begun my research.Some questions I had:Why did my high thread count sateen sheets look so worn right away?Why did some of my sheets last for years and years?Why were some of my sheet sets "hotter" than others.After looking at thread counts, fiber types, long vs short staple threads and weave. I came to the conclusion that the weave I wanted was percale. I sent out for samples of long staple, pima cotton, percale sheets. Price tag.....OUCH! So, I decided to give these Pinzon sheets a try.... and save $170.00! I figure less than 40 dollars per sheet set was a good price for a try. I wasn't expecting much for the price. I was happily surprised. These sheets are thick and smooth with good stitching. The high end samples that I received seem more "flimsy" than these Pinzon sheets. I will be purchasing more of these sheets in the future.

I wanted to love these sheets. They have great color abd texture. When they arrived I was so happy that they were traditional "old school" cotton sheets. They appeared and still feel like good quality sheets. Then I washed them twice and the pillowcase seams are coming undone. A quality issue like that is just not acceptable.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Paris that had the most comfortable bedding I had ever experienced in my life. I read the tags on them, which said they were 300 thread count, percale sheets. Ever since then I've been looking for a set for myself, and I finally found them through Amazon!!!!In the past I just bought whatever sheet set was the cheapest I could find (usually microfiber or jersey); I had no idea what I was missing out on!!!These sheets are CRISP! Thick, stiff, and cool... Just like they use in a 5 star hotel!!! I am hooked lol

the only way these sheets could have such a high rating is if Amazon changed manufacturers and quality recently. The best thing about a percale weave is it's crispness with no pills. These sheets are not crisp nor are they pill free and as a result are very scratchy - wanted to love them - percale is my favorite sheets and i usually pay 3X what these cost when I found these on Amazon and looked at the reviews I said how bad could they be - the answer is REALLY BAD itchy sheets - sometimes you do get what you pay for - no bargain here.

Percale sheets have particular characteristics that these sheets do not posses. Percale sheets should be crisp and cool. These sheets stick to your PJs, are quite warm and are not at all crisp. I suspect the weave is not percale, otherwise I would expect these sheets to have different characteristics. In addition to this, there are size and quality issues. The top sheet is huge - this might make sense for people who place multiple mattresses on the box spring, but for me with a tall mattress, full box spring and a frame the top sheet touches the floor at the bottom corners. Also the stitching is poor quality (puckering) and the pillow cases are not properly cut on the bias resulting in edges that are uneven and unmanageable. These are not what I wanted and I will not buy them again.

I somehow ended up reading a blog from people who were looking for "old fashioned" sheets like their grandmothers had. I just bought a new queen sized bed and was in the process of buying new sheets and realized I too was interested in these sheets. I can't speak for my grandmother but I grew up in the 50's with muslin sheets and although I thought we had a dryer I know my mother put the sheets to dry on the clothesline. I remember the heft and snap of the sheets and their wonderful smell. I can't find muslin sheets on line but this blog I was reading mentioned these sheets. I am a bit of a sheet snob and usually buy organic sheets when I can and also I had a set of the #1 rated LL Bean percale sheet (very expensive) I liked the pattern of the LLBean sheet and they did sleep cool but they were very light. The other "old fashioned" sheets that I was looking at were also expensive so I ended up trying these sheets. I originally ordered a set of white but when I double checked my order I found they wouldn't be delivered until Jan 18! So I cancelled that order and ordered these in a lovely gold color that blends perfectly with my gold and flowered duvet cover. They are heavier than my LLBean percale sheets and I like that and they feel crisp and inviting to crawl into. I live in the south and in Sept it is still very hot here so I bought a folding clothes hanger and have been drying my sheets out in the sun. I love the smell and feel good about using my dryer less. I do not think these wrinkle very much but I am sure there are others who will complain. I think these are the best sheets I own. I try never to buy things made in china and that is where these are from, they are not organic, are not a high grade of cotton and are probably full of chemicals BUT I would buy them again. I think they are wonderful. I do wish they came in patterns.

The label on the sheets says 100% cotton but they have a very slick, slippery feel to them, more like Egyptian cotton. I will keep them but prefer the crisper, cooler feeling of true 100% cotton. I need twin XL size which are hard to find and feel first hand in department stores. The ivory color looks more like yellow.

For the price, they’re good sheets. Crisp and thick and didn’t get too wrinkled in the dryer. I have a 14” mattress, and they don’t quite fit. They cover, but after every sleep, I have to pull the corners back down.

I've finally found those nice crisp sheets that I remember! I have been through several sets that aren't right always too soft and silky. These are great and super affordable. Also my queen size pillows don't stick out the end of the pillow cases!

the weave initially seemed a bit coarse but successive laundering has made these much softer. They are nice a cool. Quite crisp but again --- a little stiff/coarse to start and 5 washes in they are much better.No hanging threads or sloppy finishing.

Love these sheets. I really like the crispness. I found that I was over heating and uncomfortable with polyester sheets. I sleep so much better with these. Lost one star as the California King just fits our King size mattress (good thing I suspected a tight fit and ordered bigger). They have been washed 4 times now with no issues. Will definitely buy more of these.

Although I ordered spa blue I am disappointed in the color. Also at first they feel like polyester- slippery and thin. I hated them but after a few washes they are so nice. The slick feeling is gone. Very nice weight for the price. I will order more.

Really loved these sheets! Deep pockets fit my oversized queen very well.. the sheet felt like a dream.. great colour .. I’ll be ordering again :) ty

Wanted crisp sheets, and they are somewhat. Note that I found odd snag lines on the fitted sheet and discolouring on edges which don't appear on the pillow cases nor the flat sheet. Definitely wrinkles after the wash. I'd probably spend the money for better quality

I was bugging my wife that I wanted to switch to more crispy sheets. These are certainly cool and crispy, even after months of washing they are still crispy. Expect lots of wrinkles.I wanted crispy so these are amazing to me. My wife likes softer so they are less amazing to her. That being said we are both very impressed by how they are still like new!

Not at all comfortable to sleep on, very rough feeling with no softness whatsoever. Once it's washed the sheets and pillow cases come out completely wrinkled and unless you're prepared to iron your sheets, stay away from this one. Looks good from far but is really far from any good.

Update: the fitted sheet started to get rips after almost exactly two years of use. Would have liked these to last longer as the regular top sheet is still fine.Really fantastic sheets. Exactly what we were hoping for. A true “percale” set. Feels crisp and cool but not rough. The oversized flat sheet was really nice. The fitted sheet is more than large enough for our 10” foam mattress.

Uncomfortable, wrinkles, long drying time, sides too long for the mattress. Not worth $51 I paid for them. I would like to exchange for another set of AmazonBasics Deluxe Microfiber Stripped Sheet Set, Spa Blue, Queen. These are much better quality and comfort for half the price. Please advise me on the process to return item.

Bought a queen set that came with a queen-size fitted sheet and a king-size top sheet that badly and sadly overhangs much too much. Wanted to try for comfort but didn't wash first, which was likely a mistake; found the fitted sheet and pillow cases to be a little rough and itchy. They are lightweight, however, which can be a plus--or a minus when winter arrives

Seem good so far. Percale is wrinkley so that is not a surprise. I like that the elastic goes all the way around the bottom sheet. Bottom sheet has deep edges and fit is generous. We will see how they wash and wear. Colour is as described.

wonderful sheets. They felt a little strange out of the package, almost slippery and thin and I was rather disappointed. However, once washed the sheets changed completely. They keep you cool and are crisp and smooth. Just like the sheets I remember growing up with. Liked them so much I ordered another set. Bear in mind that these sheets do wrinkle as they are percale, but they don't wrinkle as much as the Pinzon organic sheets did. I put them on the bed ever so slightly damp and don't have to iron.
