Trudeau7-Inch Easy Grind Pepper Mill

I have a wooden, twist-style, mill that I've been using in the kitchen. It works okay, but I was getting tired (and sore) of twisting it for recipes that call for more than a little pepper. This one grinds coarser (but the adjustment is easy, and more definite for finer grinds). But it grinds the pepper roughly 10 times as fast, and with very little energy expended, and no soreness. Now, I just have to decide whether to use the old one at the table.Pros: Grinds pepper fast, can get a very coarse grind, and you can see how full it isCons: None really- just wish it was less expensive

I almost didn't buy this because of the mixed reviews, but it's wonderful. My hand strength has weakened with age and arthritis and I could no longer turn the prefilled Peppermills from the stores. The handle on this gives wonderful easy leverage for turning, and even my son and daughter in law prefer it to our old peppermills.Several reviews said it was to small and frequent refills were difficult. I have not found this to be true. We have been using the mill for a month and have not had to refill it yet, but I will simply use a narrow funnel to do so.

We only use pepper corn and this baby has saved me a ton of time grinding.

After having owned several peppermills over the years, I was extremely pleased to use this fine piece of equipment. It is everything promised and more. Built solid as a tank and much bigger than I imagined, this grinder can produce copious amounts of coursely ground pepper in just a few cranks, yet makes a fine dusting on foods that require a refined and light grind. I love quality built tools and gadgets, and this mill screams quality. It is heavy and the nut that adjusts the grind and firmly keeps the handle attached is a solid piece of steel. The crank handle is large, and sure in its smooth operation. Further inspection reveals a steel grinding burr that will last forever! Trudeau has scored large on this mighty marvel of engineering and design perfection. I love it and would recommend it to all my good friends and family. Finally,as one can see in the photos of this mill, it is a beatiful piece of functional utility.

I actually prefer a manual pepper mill grinder vs battery operated ones. There is just something special and fascinating about them. I also have a smaller wooden pepper grinder which is filled with black pepperkorns. My Trudeau grinder however contains a pepperkorn blend which pares wonderfully with all foods. My favorite!

This was the 3rd pepper mill I've ever bought. I had hoped it would be good. As soon as I opened the box I could tell this was not a good one. The plastic was glued together like a 9 year old had done it and the bottom edge was chipped, but i gave it a chance anyway... Gave it a few cranks and guess what? It didn't do as good as the disposable one I'd bought from the grocery store. Like no where near as good. I tried adjusting it and still no good. I was seriously disappointed. I wound up looking up how to refill the disposable one since I had to grind a few cups of pepper. That got me by till I could order a better one. This thing is literally junk. I'm just glad I was able to return it.

This is the perfect grinder, whether you like bold cracked pepper flakes or fine cracked pepper flakes. Easy to crank. I am a pepper person, so this item is the most used in my kitchen! Would recommend for the easy of use, easy to fill, easy to change pepper setting.

Update 4 years in:One of my two mills completely went to crap. First the top somehow got jammed and I couldn’t get it open without prying. Since then it’s stopped giving output.The other mill is okay but both are showing a lot of wear and tear. I would have liked them be a bit more resilient and longer-lasting.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I just got these (I got two, one for salt and one for pepper) delivered and I love them!My dad is huge on fresh cracked pepper and we use a lot in cooking. We had a disposable twist top pepper grinder from the grocery store and the output with the old was was abysmal.I switched out the peppercorn and gave it a go! (It comes with black peppercorns in it! They smelled good but we wanted a blend.)Firstly, the device is easy to open and refill! The twist knob on the top opens the chamber and also adjusts the grind size.Secondly, It turns really easily. This would be awesome for pepper loves with arthritis, or like my dad, with stroke weakness (and the like).Thirdly, the adjustments are great. I tend to like chunkier ground pepper and it delivers! But I also played with it and it also produces a pretty fine grit as well!Lastly, and maybe most importantly, the output was great! I’m quite pleased with this purchase and my dad was also pretty impressed!Thumbs up here :-)

I’ve been on the search for a quality pepper grinder for awhile and this is it! Grinds from very fine to quite coarse which is how I like it!

El molinillo fue un regalo para una señora mayor que no tiene fuerza en las manos y el asa le facilita mucho su uso. Es comodo de usar y recargar (desenroscando la pieza circular que esta sobre el asa y sacando el tape superior). Los materiales son de buena calidad y creo que tiene una buena relación calidad-precio.
