NCLEX-RN Drug Guide: 300 Medications You Need to Know for the Exam (Kaplan Test Prep) Seventh Edition

I had no idea where to begin studying for the NCLEX, especially when it came to the many drugs. This book breaks down the drugs by category with key indications, side effects, etc., making studying much more manageable. It allowed me to learn drug suffixes without getting overwhelmed or confused. You can also take the pages out of the book and use them as flashcards if that is how you study. Using this in conjunction with the in-person Kaplan class was 100% worthwhile.

I wish I would have bought this on the first day of nursing school! Small and handy, with concise explanations. Easy to navigate, and helpful for comparing meds in each class.There were quite a few meds mentioned in Kaplan practice questions (which required specific knowledge on the med) that weren’t included in this book. However, I wouldn’t expect much more from Kaplan. Overall gets the job done, and very much worth the investment.

It was a good pocket book

This is a great summary book of medications and classes to review for NCLEX! I used this and only this for medication review. It's short, sweet, and to the point. I wouldn't buy anything else. Although, I didn't see tons of medication questions on NCLEX that I pulled info from this book.

It has the ability to cut into flash cards from the page. The page color was not pure white making it a bit harder to read BUT that is nothing the seller contributed with.

While there are a fair amount of medications in this book there simply just is not enough detail on each drug. I was pretty disappointed when I discovered that I needed several other resources to go along with my pharmacology research in nursing school.

I bought several of these books for my students to use for studying for their NCLEX exam. They like the flashcard design and the compact size.

Very well organized and easy to read book. Has great headings as well. Loves that I could throw it in my purse or backpack and always have it with me when I’m waiting or on the bus.

I like that the medications are sorted by category instead of alphabetical, easy to use.
