1D/2D Barcode Scanner, Elekele PDF417, QR CODE, MICRO QR, DATAMATRIX, AZTEC CODE Handheld Wired USB Port Barcord Reader (2D)

To be clear, I don't have a ton of experience with barcode scanners, so I don't have many points of comparison for this one. But with there being so many mobile apps available now that can connect with mobile bar scanners, and since this one got such great reviews for a great price, I jumped at the chance to check it out.The unboxing experience was pretty straightforward. It came in a plain brown box with very little printed on it. Inside, the actual scanner was wrapped in bubblewrap and its accompanying data cable (USB to what looks like ethernet, which plugs into the bottom of the scanner) was in a plastic open-ended bag.Once I had everything unpacked, the first thing I noticed was just how solid this scanner feels. For the price, I was expecting it to feel hollow and toy-like, but this thing is actually made extremely well. On the other hand, it's definitely not heavy, so you won't get fatigued if you're using it for longer periods of time.Although I don't actually have my software to use this barcode scanner installed yet (I'll update this review once I do), I plugged it into a wall charger for one of our mobile devices so that I could power it on and make sure it turns on and such. It lit right up and seemed to register barcodes although it clearly isn't really able to relay them anywhere without it being hooked to an actual computer. However, I have really high hopes for this barcode scanner and would absolutely be confident buying other products from Elekele.If you're in the market for a barcode scanner, the combination of great price and outstanding quality make this scanner by Elekele a must buy.

I bought it to scan drivers license PDF417 barcodes. It is able to recognize and scan them, but it doesn't output the data element separators like it should, and it doesn't replace them with any character that I can use to find and replace so I can parse the data

Mostly works, but occasionally produces errored output on 1D barcodes. Limited information on scanner programming, if any. (Character set, carriage return settings, etc.)Not bad for the $$, but not a Symbol

I need assistance from the seller, please. The scanner works great on my Chromebook to scan ups codes into the search line. But, I need the scanner on my Mac. The codes scan but not correctly. I have used the enclosed instruction book and attempted multiple scan configurations. I have not been successful in setting up the scanner on Mac. I need help, please.

I got it for my job and I have to say, its amazing! The sensor detects the code pretty fast. And it even flashes in front so even if the sorrounding is dark, it will detect the barcode. LOVE IT

This scanner works perfectly when connected to my Windows machine. I have discovered it does NOT work with my Mac OS-X. I interacted with the seller many times through working out the problems, and the seller was extremely prompt and willing to do whatever necessary to ensure my happiness. He suggested I return the scanner (before I tried it on my Windows machine), and I decided to try it on windows first. Very happy with this seller and will definitely to business with them again.

No problems with installation (automatic) and scans barcodes out of the box. No configuration needed to be done.

We purchased this to scan lot numbers off vaccines. These use the data matrix bar code standard.Unfortunately, about half the bar codes are white on black data matrix and not black on white. This scanner will not read the white on black data matrix codes.
