I'm impressed with this heavy duty turner/spatula. Seems very durable and a good value. Made with stainless steel. The handle length is perfect to keep you away for the heat with the comfortable handle. Slips under food easily. Dishwasher safe

Great cooking spatula

Wanted to replace our rubber coated spatula for a metal one. I would not consider this heavy duty, more medium. For some reason it drags once in awhile when cooking on our coated Farberware pan. Next time I would be a solid spatula (personal preference). If I would recommend any change, maybe make the handle a little longer but otherwise I am satisfied either way the purchase and use it everyday to cook breakfast.

I cook with stainless steel pans and need a stainless steel spatula not just to flip things over, but to scrape the browned parts off the bottom of the pan -- plastic ain't gonna do it. The crazy thing is, 99% of spatulas out there have a rounded front instead of a flat front, which makes scraping take a lot longer (less contact). The good news: there are 2 spatulas in existence on Amazon that are stainless steel with a flat front: Chef Craft Turner Good Cook Classic Pancake Turner So I bought them both to see which one is better. (They're only spatulas, after all!) And the verdict is: The Chef Craft Turner is sturdy, a steel tank of a spatula. It has a strong handle and feels like it will last for decades. But it has two cons: first, the spatula itself is noticeably thick. So it's amazing for scraping off the pan, but if you need something thin to slip under a delicate pancake, you may have issues. Second, the front of the spatula is slightly angled. I don't know why, but this bugs me. I'm right-handed so it works, but not everyone is. On the other hand, the Good Cook Classic Pancake Turner is thin, lightweight, and almost flimsy-feeling. (It's also half the price.) The good news is, the spatula itself is thin, thin, thin -- if it doesn't slide underneath your delicate pancake effortlessly, nothing will. (And the front isn't angled.) The bad news is: I wouldn't use it for anything more substantial than a pancake or a fried egg. Using it to try to scrape off the browned bits feels like it's going to bend out of shape at any moment. So there's a reason they call it a "pancake turner" specifically. Final advice: buy the Chef Craft as a general-purpose spatula for frying meat etc., but also get the Good Cook if you cook delicate things like pancakes and eggs.

I needed a stainless steel flat edged spatula to use on a new cast iron pan for my daughter who just got the pan and had no steel spatula. This was a great price so I ordered it. I was at her house when it was delivered. It is well made and sturdy enough to work well with the cast iron pan. I then visited another daughter who just received a stainless steel frying pan and had no flat edged steel spatula. Of course I ordered her one of these too. Perfect for the pan--great to cook with and perfect to scrap the bottom to remove food particles both in cooking and in cleaning. I am keeping the link so when my own stainless steel spatula wears out I can replace it with this one. I cannot imagine cooking in my cast iron and stainless steel frying pans without a good flat edged stainless steel spatula. And this one is perfect. It is sturdy but not heavy but I don't abuse them enough to need one that can take a beating--just one that can do the job. And this one is perfect.

Am so happy with this thing. I've been using it for a long time and it's still in perfect condition. I was looking for a metal spatula to use on cast iron that has a perfectly flat front. Most spatulas are a bit rounded, but this one scrapes fond off the bottom beautifully.

Was looking for a spatula to use with my cast iron pans, sturdy enough to scrape off the stuff I regularly burn in there (oops!). I got two different brands, and this one has held up the best.
