I haven't installed one of these since the '90s. My stock radio needed an upgrade, and this was just upgraded needed. The sound is very clear and very controllable. The presets for the equalizer is good and I just do a little tweaking. Easy to install, easy instructions to follow, and fit My vehicle as described. Definitely worth a couple extra bucks to purchase this one over the cheaper models. Highly recommended!

Bench tested and all was good, EXCEPT the DVD player wouldn't play DVDs! The whole point in getting this. Video DVDs would load up to the point of the movie's menu, then when play was pressed, got the "prohibited" red circle with the slash across it, and would not play. The more I tried the worse it got until it got stuck in the "reading disc" notice. Had to power it down to exit it and get the disc out. Returned it which was a pain, they wanted me to mail it back and wait until the refund came after several days of inspection, then several more for the refund itself. Called Amazon and they agreed to the refund (a one time thing) like when a QR code refunds, so I ordered another unit from the same vendor. So Amazon paid for the second one, and the vendor got back the unit.Guess what! #2 had the same problem! Must have gotten a batch of bad ones. Now Amazon won't repeat the refund a 2nd time. Now they're sending me a return label and have to play the waiting game for my funds after they inspect it.Only option is to pay the shipping to Kenwood for the warranty coverage. Don't know if I trust Kenwood quality anymore. Now have to go on a hunt for something with better feedbacks. Not happy...oh, by the way, I've installed sound systems in shops I worked at for decades, so I'm not a moron who doesn't know what I'm doing...

Easy install works great.

Spent the better part of a day installing this radio in my RV - custom fitting the wiring harness and installing the sleeve in the dash and it worked great - FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES -before the unit went haywire and quit responding to VOL up and down and POWER off /on on the capacitive touch screen. Other screen functions were fine but no love for this fine piece of junk! Then Amazon wants me to REFUND ONLY!!! He’ll no! I want the defective head unit replaced ONLY I’m not ripping out all the soldered in custom wiring and the sleeve I put in the dash. Just send me a replacement radio and I’ll send the defective one back.UPDATE: 4/3/24: Amazon Vendor WestCoast Auto Sound has been VERY QUICK to send me a replacement unit and an RMA for the defective one. New radio is in the dash installed and I tested it for an hour and it is working - upgrading my rating. Thank you WestCoast Auto Sound!

This radio looks and sounds amazing. Has all the options I was looking for in a radio. Everything worked great, and was easy to install.

There are only 8 preset sound EQ’s to choose from which kinda sucks. The screen is not as responsive to touch as I would have hoped coming from a 350$ Kenwood stereo. All in all, not that many features that are useful and not having a volume knob is PAINFUL.

Do Not purchase from this company. The radio i bought would not even stay powered on its now been weeks of trying to get a refund . Had to file a complaint and claim with Amazon to try to obtain my money back. Buyer beware .
