I saw a tool similar to this demonstrated and decided to research further. I discovered there were similar ones out there but the Bluebana product seemed sturdier and the markings were distinct and black against yellow is good contrast. It also had good reviews from customers so I ordered two, one for myself and one for my brother-in-law who does a lot of construction for his homes and rentals. The unit comes in a nice carry bag which is nice to protect it from tool box nicks and wear. The instructions are basic tips but there is a reference to a web site where you can got more ideas and demos.

got this for my friend who is a stone and tile contractor for doing a little bit of work for me at the house, where I had a chance to use it and see it working. its really helpful when you have to cut tricky custom angles...because the ruler locks down tight into place you can figure out your cut, lock it in and then make as many pieces in that shape as you need without having to mess around with paper templates and cutting them out. its nicely made of solid metal too so should stand up to the abuses of the workplace.

I have yet to use it and "abuse it", so I can't love it, but with what I have seen at inspection and simple use, it is that is should be durable. It locks tight with minimal effort. Numbers and marks aer clear and readable. The bag it comes in is heavy enough that it should protect it from unnecessary scratches and damage. It looks like it will be worth the few extra dollars spent to not have plastic.

The only suggestion I would make would be to use serrated knobs instead of wingnuts at the segment joints. I find that the ears on the wingnuts catch on everything within 3 feet -tools, clothing, and then drag the tool making it hard to maintain a setup. It's a small thing and most certainly not a major issue, but it might make a great tool easier to use.

I really enjoyed receiving this as a gift. I am a "Jack Of All Trades, Master Of None." So I am always doing something around the house. This angle finder I know will be great for flooring as well as deck work. Just in those two jobs it pays for itself and I know I have not even scratched the surface of what it can do.

I used this for a tile project and had some success and some failure. It performed well for making some difficult cuts but it proved worthless on other cuts. If you are going to use this as an everyday tool, I would recommend finding a higher quality tool with tighter tolerances. If you are going to use it once or rarely, it will work but you will have to re-cut some tile.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son. He told me the only thing wrong with it was he needed it about a month before, as he had just finished up a job. Guess he'll appreciate it more on the next job. He does like it.

Great item for capturing hard to get at angles. Easy to use and Tough aluminum construction. Very easy to work lock down knobs. Excellent product worth the cost and more.
