I use this box to store various tools and whatnot (jumper cables, rescue straps, hitches). It does allow the slightest bit of condensation to form. I like being able to store it under my tonneau cover for a 2024 GMC Canyon Elevation. It is quite wide, so it needs to be practically empty when being moved by one person. The portability aspect is nice. I don't have to drill holes in the bed of my truck to keep it from moving, I just use a retractable ratchet strap. The latch works as it should. When I have my truck serviced, I'll move anything expensive inside the cabin into it and then lock it shut. This Rubbermaid box is solidly built. I didn't detect an odor, even with the slight condensation that managed to form inside. Overall, it's easy to use, and I'm happy with it.

I was a little hesitant spending as much money on a "storage container", if you know what I mean. But the investment is well worth it if you are looking for a container to hold items you care about. In my case, I keep the container in the back of my truck bed to hold various items when going about my everyday activity, whether for work or play. The containers are solid, hold more than you would think and keep your belongings dry if outside in the rain or snow when inside the container. The latch to close seems solid, I am very rough on stuff, I work in construction and often have tools rolling about the bed of truck, I intend on buying two more of these, one to hold emergency supplies and the other for camping supplies this summer. The money spent on these is reasonable, one of these is equal to 10 of the average plastic containers with the cheap lids that never fit right. I highly recommend these for a variety of uses. On long road trips, I will tie it down with a bungee cord to hold it in place better. It is also very solid and makes a good makeshift seat when outside. The 35 gallon sized one is a bit large to have to carry around on a daily basis, I also bought the 8 gallon sized container which works for items that you need to carry around often. In fact I bought two of those. I am done buying the cheap average storage containers no matter how inexpensive, these are far superior in quality and I hope they last a lifetime if taken care of. I have started to use these containers for storing my "emergency supplies" and as a way to store anything I would need if I had to leave my house in a hurry. My town has been hit twice by tornadoes which left my area without power for almost a week. It was nice having all my most needed supplies and belongings stored in one container which allowed me to grab it and go within a short period of time. You never know what the future holds and having these sturdy containers on hand helps in any emergencies.

It was rugged, solid, is water tight and spacious. Just what I needed for storage on the back of my camper van! Very happy with it.

I got this for my daughter's BSA campouts, which involve a lot of stuff. I had it pretty full and was able to comfortably shoulder it for a half mile from the parking lot to the tents, but two people could carry it with more comfort. I wish the handles allowed fingers to get a deeper grip, because one person could drag it across grassy areas with ease. Where you put the padlock on is not as friendly of an area as I would have preferred, but I didn't need to struggle too much, and my daughter got the hang of it quickly as well. The chest felt pretty secure once the lock was attached. I like that it's just a big empty space inside, so that I can choose how much or little I want to divvy it up. You could fit many different sizes of boxes/drawers/whatever inside to suit your needs. Since our needs for campouts don't translate to a lot of dividers, we just put bigger, heavier things on the bottom and worked our way up. When it was time to come home, everything went back in without issue. The price was great, and I was glad we didn't need to get something more specialized and/or heavy-duty.

It works good put it on a metal rack on an rv trailer to hold different items the action packer is strapped to the rack so far no problems no leaks and the led stays closed easy to move around and store under the trailer excellent value

Huge, lockable, waterproof. Everything I needed. A bit heavy for a plastic chest but, manageable.

I love this trunk. I now own two. I own three other Rubbermaid bins of different sizes and use them all. They are my favorite because of how reliable and sturdy they are. My Dad bought me my first Rubbermaid storage bin in 1996 when i needed a container to keep my tack, brushes and equipment in when I went away to my first horseback riding summer camp. He bought it for me because it was so sturdy that it would double as a mounting block so that I could get on my horse easily without help. I was 12 and pretty short; and my horse was very tall, not to mention wiggly. I loved the independence this multi-functional bin afforded me, and it sort of became an item of superstition for me after that. I used it for years as my tack trunk and it went everywhere i went with my horse: lessons, horse shows, pony club rallies. I’m almost 40 now and I still have it - and it still contains my grooming brushes for my horse, and it occupies a proud place inside my horse trailer. 28 years after that awesome summer horse camp. I’m gonna go write the year I got it inside the lid. If we’re all still here in another 28 years I’ll dig up this review and report on its condition. I expect it’ll be much the same.

Used for a 7-day Arctic canoe trip. Wonderful storage - kept the critters and water out, and was lightweight (enough) for physical transport. Would recommend and use again.
