This was the best deal we could find for a 4 pack with the steel clamps. However we ran into two issues that you may need to be prepared for when using these. We have a genuine Intex saltwater pump and filter set that use 1.5" hoses (Intex 29060E Hose & Nut Set), however our pool has 1.25" outlets so that is why we needed these adapters. When we went to use the adapters with the genuine hoses, the hoses would screw onto the adapters only a few threads before contacting the rubber gasket. Because of this, every time I tried to tighten it, it would slip a thread and instantly loosen up...and NO I was not cross-threading it. The only solution I could find was to leave the black rubber gasket out and carefully tighten together. And strangely enough, got the leak drips down to one per minute. The other issue was the clamping end, it was too small to easily fit over the fitting it needed to slide onto. I used a heat gun to slowly heat the adapter until it was pliable and then pushed it on, it stretched over and then slid on. Hope this helps some! John in Pensacola, Fl.
