The only bait cast reel you should own.
I always wanted a bait cast reel , but was nervous to try, due to the fact that if you don’t know how to use one, they can be frustrating. Who wants a birds nest when you cast your bait. This reel takes that fear away, from that. You still have to keep an eye on you casting technique, but with the built in magnets that slow down your spool while casting, you just have to find the perfect spot to try it. I enjoy using this product now, you will as well.

Broke within a few months
I’ve had mine since beginning of July and it is now November. The reel stopped working as of a month to a month and a half ago. I tried getting it serviced and nothing. It feels almost like the brakes don’t work anymore and when I cast I hear harsh clicking coming from the main gear. I was about to buy another Daiwa bait caster, but this one sucked. I can still use it but only for very short distance casting. Cast maybe 20-30 feet even with 1/2-3/4oz lures. And it makes a weird clicking sound almost like the gear that holds the spool is still making contact with the spool even when I press the release button. It goes away when I tighten the spool pretty tight, but then It shorten my distance of casting even more. I ended up buying shimano 17&21 scorpion reels both being dc’s. And I love both of them so much, complete day and night difference. Yes, I understand the shimanos cost more, but it is well worth the difference.

Great reel for the price
Light weight , 8.1 ratio retrieval is as fast as usual bolt on the retrieve , and looks really nice on almost any rod . This is my first reel that’s over 100$ and I would definitely buy another one . Just wish it had that dc bearing sound on the cast
