Excellent 98/100
What a great unit (I'm typing with it right now)! The top part (the housing for the iPad, effectively a rear protector) completely separates from the bottom part (the keyboard) with a strong magnetic coupling, so the iPad can still be used on its own when required, without having to remove it from the housing. The design of the housing still lets the Apple Pencil clip to the iPad edge. The two parts can be clipped together either way around, so the case closes with the iPad screen inside (and automatically turns off), or the screen outside (use as a tablet, but without the keyboard separated). Best of all worlds. The iPad itself is also so much easier to use, just using the keyboard case as a lap stand instead of trying to hold it (especially with the narrow bezel on modern iPads), and use it as a video camera stand too. Even better, if you miss the Home button no longer present on modern iPads, the keyboard provides one on a Fn key. The keyboard feel is excellent, and slightly quieter than my previous one. The trackpad is great too, it makes the iPad fully dual purpose like a laptop – no need to touch the screen if you don't want to. Quibbles are very minor, not worth docking a star for: 1. Fn+P is supposed (according to the instruction leaflet) to perform a screen shot. This did not seem to be working, in fact Fn+P produced a "3". I got in touch with Arteck support, and they went to a lot of trouble to help me work this out, which turns out to be a bug in iOS when you reassign the modifier keys in settings (I switch Cmd and Ctrl so that copy, paste etc are on the usual non-Apple keys!). 2. The battery status is not transmitted to the iPad, so does not appear with the other battery status monitoring, whereas my previous Bluetooth keyboard did. This seems like an oversight. However, it is possible to check the battery status with a keyboard hot-key, and the LED is supposed to flash when the battery is low (I've not seen that yet, there hasn't been time!). 3. It would be BRILLIANT if the top part and bottom part could also be coupled with the iPad in portrait. That's a wish-list thing, worth considering for a future model. An adapter might be the way to do this. As I own a 3D printer, I might have a go myself. 98/100 No idea what the negative reviews are about. Yes it adds weight, of course it does. The other comments sound like a completely different product.

Amazing value for the price
Amazing value for the price, I was trying to find a keyboard case for my Ipad Pro 11" that also had some kind of trackpad as a bonus. The keyboard works great, the charge seems to be amazing too. It's really helped transform my workflow on the iPad and I really like how it looks for the price. I like arteck keyboards, and I know their customer support is great as I've had them replace a keyboard I bought years ago. I have an arteck keyboard for my PC too, and getting used to this iPad one only took me about 10 minutes. The trackpad is okay, it works fine for what I would be using it for and you can adjust the speed of it in the keyboard settings - which I did to make it a bit faster. Clicking seems to work completely fine. Using the dual fingers to swipe to side works okay, however it can be a bit clunky sometimes. If that is important to you and you have the budget, I would pay for one of the more expensive keyboard cases above £80-100. For me, I don't want to pay that for a keyboard case and I find myself just naturally swiping with my fingers on the screen, typing with the keyboard and clicking with the trackpad and the screen. It's also very secure and fits great! Honestly, I don't think you will get much better than this under £40. It's not an ultra-luxury keyboard case that costs £100+, but for how much it costs, it is way better than I thought it would be and looks great :)

Will be great for some people, not for others.
Keyboard size and quality is great however, it felt like the keyboard was too low down because there is quite a bit of space above the keyboard. I couldn't comfortably rest my wrist on the sides of the trackpad and type, it felt a bit off. If you have larger hands, you might find it uncomfortable depending on how you type. Also, if you are buying, note that this isn't light. I have a 10.9 inch iPad and this case more than doubles the weight so if you're buying for portability to replace taking a heavy laptop in, it's not worth it. Unless you have a mini iPad, the weight isn't worth the hassle of carrying around. Visually looks good and the battery lasts well. Was easy to connect so no issues in that. I bought the like new condition for £23 which came in perfect condition and I think it's worth it for that but I wouldn't spend £40 on this.

LIFE CHANGING
This product is absolutely fantastic, I had to come back and hype it up!! I’d tried multiple other brands, mostly more expensive than this one, and the products were so temperamental or immediately impractical that I had to return them pretty soon after they arrived. Those which seemed good initially quickly lost key sensitivity or stopped charging properly, but this model is an absolute delight to use long term. I’ve been using it for nearly a year now - be it in class, at home, on trains, on my lap - and it’s still perfectly functional, as new. The main advantages it has over other companies are: Its sturdiness - the hinges are relaxed enough to move with ease but stiff enough to hold whichever angle you put the screen at. This is especially useful if you’re using the device on your lap, it stays in position and doesn’t flop around like many others do. The keys have a perfect level of resistance, it really feels like typing on a regular keyboard, which is something I’ve not found elsewhere. It’s really easy to detach the screen from the keyboard when needed, and can be turned around to use the base as a stand and tilt the screen further the other way if you want to use your iPad without typing (eg to watch something). Battery life is great, I rarely find myself having to recharge it. Connectivity is so easy I never even think about it - as soon as I turn it on it connects to my iPad and I can get to typing. Overall look is smart, somewhat reminiscent of the early 00’s mini gadgets, but so much more efficient. Can’t recommend enough!!

Good Value for Money
I purchased this because I had upgraded to an IPad Air and primarily needed a new case and I thought this might be useful. I’ve now used this for 3 weeks. The quality is what I would expect at this price point. It’s not Apple so it doesn’t have a premium feel to it, but the keys fit well, no looseness and the trackpad is useful. It is as good as any 3rd party keyboard would be. The ability to easily disconnect the iPad from the keyboard is handy and the battery lasts a long time between charges. The trackpad is functional and works perfectly well, again, not as refined as an Apple one. The only negatives are the extra weight it adds and I find the hinge is rather tight, so sometimes I disconnect to iPad from the keyboard without intending to. Overall I am pleased with the product, it is functional and does what it is required to do and meets the price point I was prepared to pay. If you are looking for a keyboard at a reasonable price this is a good choice.

Amazing for the price
Very stylish and make the iPad feel like a laptop, rather than just a keyboard case - much better than others I've tried. It's very easy to pair and use and you only need to pair it once and then it'll automatically connect when it's on. Battery lasts a while, sometimes forget it even needs charging! Touchpad is good - if you're having difficulties or find the speed isn't right, you can adjust it in your iPad settings. I upped the speed a little and it's much closer to how I prefer my trackpad and find the iPads default a little slow. The scrolling wasn't natural at first but once you use it a bit, you get used to it. The touchpad also supports geastures and tap to click. It is well built and sturdy for the price. I can tell it is on the cheaper side compared to the high end versions of this but it doesn't feel cheap at all. The keys are lovely to press and it can hold the iPads weight with ease. It's great even just to be able to set the iPad at whatever angle you like - unlike some of the others that pretty much use the case as a kickstand. I feel it would protect the device still but may scratch and dent easily. A great feature is that it's detachable without having to remove the case so you can use your iPad without the keyboard then easily snap it back on. You are also able to snap it back on the opposite way and fold the iPad and keyboard flat with the screen up. Overall great product in this price range and highly recommend as an alternative to the more expensive options. I think this is great and wouldn't bother even looking at the more expensive options. It does it's job brilliantly!

battery life great but case only lasted for 6 months
I had the previous version of this case for many years so I bought this one for my new iPad. I love that it has the tilt diversity and the battery life is incredible but there are a few new functions that do not work well. Instead of having one button to increase or decrease volume you have to press two buttons for each function that are so far apart it needs to hands to do it which is more inconvenient. It also takes 2 to 3 times pressing on the buttons for them to work to increase or decrease sound. The spacebar doesn’t always work especially when using Netflix to stop and start a program. After six months the top left part of the case has snapped off its own. I have never dropped it and it’s kept in the same place so it’s just snapped literally from opening And shutting the case. I’m so disappointed because the previous case lasted for so many years but this case feels so much cheaper. I wish they stuck to the original version and I am sorry to only leave two stars but unfortunately, this has only lasted for six months so I now need to find a new one.

BEST BATTERY EVER!! And overall function.
Ive had this keyboard for almost AN ENTIRE YEAR and I have YET needed to charge it. The keyboard has a function key that allows you to check the battery status using a light blinking sequence - 4 blinks = full power, 3 blinks = 75%, 2 blinks = 50%, and 1 blink = 25% and needing to be charged soon. I had this for 6 months before it went from 4 to 3 blinks and another, 5 months to go from 3 to 2 blinks. This was with kind of a neglectful use, meaning I was not great at turning the keyboard off to preserve power, and the last few months I've left it on a lot! It'll have been a year of owning this device in 2 weeks and in a month or so, I predict it'll be the first time I've needed to charge this keyboard. The functionality is amazing with only 2 features that I find personally annoying. The trackpad I turn off a lot because my hand touches it a lot and it's pretty sensitive. Additionally, the finish around the track pad has worn off and had stained my screen protector. Luckily I have that screen protector so the finish doesn't get on my ipad. Outside of those little things, I love this keypad! I love that it's detachable which allows me to use my ipad as a laptop but also flip it so I can use it to draw on. Ive used other keyboards that allow this but are attached on a swivel hinge and those have broken and cant support the weight of the ipad. This one uses magnets and they're strong! Ive had ZERO issues with the magnets ability to connect snd hold up my ipad, it takes a second for the keyboard reconnect to the ipad because it has to wake up and goes in sleep mode when not in use. The feeling of the keys are amazing and easy to use which makes the keyboard the best thing for taking notes for class, writing emails for work or just doing creative things on the ipad. 10/10 would recommend (though a new finish that doesn't rub off would be lovely but that does NOT take away from it's amazing use and battery life.) If you're looking for a keyboard that allows you to use your ipad like a laptop/drawing pad duo, LOOK NO FURTHER!

Excellent product and customer service!
Rarely do I find a company with quick and easy communication, as well as an excellent product. We have bought Artek keyboards for five devices over the years and believe it’s the most reasonable and reliable one of those listed. The keyboard is simple to manage, so getting a new one is always without complicated directions. For the first time, I had a problem with two keys falling off, one being the Enter key- an absolute necessity. According to the Amazon site, the keyboards warrantee had expired, but it did refer me to Artek, and the response was a replacement without question. So glad it happened within the company’s expiration date!

What more would you need?
If you’re considering getting a keyboard for your iPad, or an alternative to the magic keyboard, then look no further. I’ve been using this case for the last 2 months and these are the things I’ve noticed. I got this product with a coupon so already great bargain. It’s sturdy, its battery lasts long, everything works as it should, and it looks great. None of the keys look worn out and it looks as good as the day I got it. I get comments often saying it looks like a mini macbook. If you have or are planning to get a paper-like screen protector, it might rub against the frame of the keyboard. It doesn’t effect the screen or the functionality of the keys so I personally don’t care and I’ve just covered the parts it rubs against with stickers. It does add some weight, nothing too bad. The touch pad is very responsive and exactly what I needed. Overall, great value for the product, a lot better the the magic keyboard, perfect for students. 4 Month Update: The case is still holding up exactly as my initial review. Something I’d like to add on though is this case’s ability to detach from the keyboard. It you need to have the screen tilted further back, if you plan on writing on the screen it’s simple to just detach the iPad from the keyboard and flip it around. I’d take this over a $200+ floaty keyboard case. The only down side to this case is that the apple pencil is kind of just there. It doesn’t offer any protection to the apple pencil itself but it doesn’t really matter too much to me. Still a great purchase.
