This thing is so cool! Love that it's made so well but it is not as big as I had expected! It is however a bit more confusing and not explanatory as I'd like but overall it's a neat thing to have if you like maps. We like to travel so having this is super cool.The reason for the three stars:In reality it isn't as big as described.The included double sided tape is not in fact true tape, and doesn't keep the pieces stuck to the wall.There isn't a lot of tape to put the pieces up.The template is flimsy at best.I do think that it's a neat concept and would buy it again because we put it on a nice piece of wood to hang up in our living area to make it look super neat. And the pieces to seem to be made well. This would make a good gift for someone who likes to travel, who likes maps or just whatever.

Map went up easily using the included template. Most of the time was in peeling the backing off from the double sided tape. The map is well made with excellent quality on all the wood pieces. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the adhesive. It was very difficult to remove the backing layer. The larger pieces all have tape pre attached to the back of the pieces. The small pieces have some very small precut adhesive pieces that much be separated and attached the the map wooden pieces. We also ran out of adhesive before all the accessory pieces (Ocean identification and graphics) were attached. This may have been a good thing since I grabbed some double sided tape I had and used it. It was much easier to use and remove the backing than the tape that came with the map. So overall the wooden map pieces rate a 5 star, but the tape could be improved. We also ended up with a bunch of arrow like pieces as shown in my second picture. I have no idea what these are for.

The media could not be loaded. Wow this is a gorgeous, beautifully crafted world map and I just am in aw over it! I have been searching for a map like this for years and now I found it, the map I am gifting to my son. He’s military and has traveled all over the world and I know he is going to freak out when he sees this one. He’s been looking too and I think he is going to be super happy with my choice! I am super happy! The map is of the whole world with countries lasered on each and it is in 3D with different colors of wood 3D. I mean it is unreal. It’s beautiful and they even put in the surrounding oceans and boats. You can also put push pins in for the places you’ve traveled. It’s quit large as well and will cover a big chunk of your wall. It measures at 59 x 31 inches or you can shrink up smaller or spread it out wider, however you prefer. I love this world map and I am so pleased. If you’re on the fence, don’t be it’s that great. It’s a great value. And it comes to your home so beautifully and that makes for a great gift to send by mail with no worries.

My SO has had a little hobby shop area for a while and tends to keep it very bare bones and practical. Not someone who enjoys decorating, but was very excited to put this up. Beautiful and sturdy it was fun to set up and fun to hang up.

This is super cool however there is no Hawaii in the version I got. I thought I just lost it or put it in the wrong spot. Nope it’s not even on the paper stencil, they give you to hang this or in the pictures demonstrating what to do. They actually forgot Hawaii. It’s really cool but I wish they did a better job of the paper map. Mines a bit smushed and there is no extra hanging putty, also concerned I will rip up my pain if I move it. All and all very pleased just a few odd things.
