how smart. Not ethical
UPDATE: The vendor contacted me and provided a free item (this time the correct one), and it works great. My review is not about the product, but it is about how I was cheated by the seller (either Amazon or Homitt). I made extensive research before purchase, decided on Homitt, and saw the upgraded version and since the new one is fiberglass instead of nylon in the older version, I decided to order the upgraded version. When I opened the zipper bag to install it, I saw that I was sent the old version (as seen in the picture, the granularity of mash and mash pattern in general tells very clearly that this is the old version). More frustrating I recognized that the label on the zipper bag that identifies this as the upgraded version, was stick on top of an older label. And when I scrapped out the top label, I saw that the label under was identifying it as the older version. So, this is really cheating on us as customers. Just put the new label saying upgraded and ship the older product which is cheaper, how smart. Not ethical, and I am hugely disappointed with both Amazon and Homitt.

Should be rated #1 Top Choice
Strong + Fiberglass + Weighted + Clear visibility + Tight closure + Quick installation + Long tacks + Best priceMy old screen on a side courtyard door needed replacing. I pored over reviews and description of just about every magnetic door screen available. One screen kept coming up as number one in independent reviews. This Homitt came in number 2 or in the top five. This Homitt screen has the one feature that is rare for magnetic screens including the highest rated. It has a weighted bottom! Also it is available in either fiberglass or polyester. Researching the difference it seems clear the winner is fiberglass. My old screen was polyester, and you can see in the photo that the diamond shape polyester mesh holes (top) are larger than the square fiberglass mesh holes. The fiberglass seems almost transparent when hung. This a Homitt screen is well constructed and the soft loop velcro is stitched to a strong nylon (maybe polyester) binding around the entire top and sides. The stitches are long but it seems sufficiently stitched. The two panels overlap slightly at the top middle to ensure closure of the magnet strip. There is ample hook velcro that covers the top and sides. This is easy to hang up, just remove the paper from the hook velcro adhesive a few inches at a time while adhering to the frame. Do not expect your paint's adhesion to the wall to be stronger than this velcro tape's adhesion to the paint. It is not! You must make sure you have it in place a few inches at a time before you press it down. The magnetic closure of the two panels is completely sealed all the way down, no gaps or spaces where light is coming through.Several nice long brass dome tacks are included. The tacks are strong and did not bend when nailing in place. There are no directions regarding the tacks, but having experience with magnetic screens, it was best for me to put the tacks on the outside, not on the hook velcro taped to the wall.Due to the way the door is framed, there was no way to raise the screen to clear the bottom threshold, so I turned up the hem at the bottom and stitched it down with a sewing machine (hand stitched across the weighted rods) and it made a perfect fit.The price of this Homitt screen door is not what I expected. I had to read and reread the description because this screen is so much cheaper than other screens with fewer features.

Heavy duty...but I used nails
I have had these types of "magic" screens before at our other house. For this house, I decided that we needed one again until we figured out what we were doing with this doorway. I wanted our 5 dogs to be able to come in and out and installing a dog door is down on the list. I decided that I wasn't going to mess with the double stick velcro but I used 4 small tack nails at the top of the screen to hold it in place and then 1 small strip of the velcro on each side towards the bottom to hold. It's been 3 months and so far this is a great "door" and has performed well. I will say that the center magnets are very strong and there is no issue with them closing (though my dogs are all dachshunds and they really on use the bottom 5 inches of the door) when I walk thru it. The ONLY thing that would be helpful is for them to sew some type of tab or loop on the center point of where the sides meet in the middle to make it easier to open and separate the doors to walk thru. Other than that, I would say that this was well worth the $20 that I spent.

Easy to install, but imperfections leave bug-sized gaps between magnets. Holes!
Overall this is a decent product, although manufacturing imperfections lead to imperfect vertical seams between magnets, creating a small gap that bugs probably perceive as the Lincoln Tunnel. They should line the entire vertical seam with magnets to avoid this. Also, a small hole developed on one side and a tear appeared at the top within less than a week of regular/routine use. LOW QUALITY!

Just what I needed!
I used this screen for a sunroom door that had no room for a screen door because the exterior handle sticks out. All the parts and pieces for installation were in the package. The directions were clear and easy to follow. Because there is a little lip to the metal door frame and a low step in, I positioned the screen so the bottom just rests on the top of the step. I also had to install it slightly off center to accommodate the light fixture on the left. I followed the advice of other users to clean off the area with alcohol before adhering the Velcro to the frame. The only thing I have to be careful of is the screen closing when coming in... the bottom sometimes catches on the lip of the door frame. No big deal. We get some very windy days in central AZ, well over 20 mph, so I have to watch that it doesn't blow open when there are high winds. I love having this screen for ease of moving through the doorway and for letting in fresh air.

Great Product
Installed great but had to be installed on the exterior because of the door swing. As a result, it would be great it this were to come in white because my house and trim is covered in white vinyl. I was also happy to find the screen is not covered in lines as the images show.

Heavy duty quality
Unlike some of the other magnetic mesh screens sold on Amazon, this one is well made and high quality. This is the second screen I've ordered - sent back the first one because it was so flimsy and no thicker than gauze. There's a reason this is voted the best magnetic mesh screen!

Easy to use for both humans and pets!
Used for apartment balcony sliding door. Fairly quick and easy to install. Closes by itself( magnets) with little effort. My small cat figured out how to come and go through it easily, so great for pets.

Easy to install
Its amazing, we use it to block our 5lb yorkiepoo from going downstairs probably wouldn't work for a larger dog but she stays away from it. It took maybe 15 minutes from the box to the door installed, great product.
