This is the best invention ever!
This machine is brilliant! I got it because my husband and I go through at least 2 bottles of cold brew each week, especially in the summer months. We were trying to keep up with making our own, but between the prep and time it would take, we eventually returned to just buying it prepared. This was actually a treasure truck deal that I decided to try with absolutely no regrets at this point. I actually did not have high expectations as the prepared cold brew brand we liked was pretty good (Stok), but figured it couldnโt hurt. Weโve had this machine for about 3 months now and it works like a dream. Itโs very easy to use, (we didnโt even really read the instructions), and very easy to clean. The most significant reason we love it is the flavor of having freshly made cold brew. We prefer either the whole bean Carribou Coffee or Kona Coffees and generally use the โBoldโ coffee strength. The machine essentially spins longer for a stronger brew selection and less long for a milder flavor. We also tried using the ground version of these coffees but the flavor profile was much weaker and no where near as good. For the pros I would say: *Easy to use *Easy to clean *Decreases cold brew prep time from 24-48 hours to 1 hour or less *Reasonably priced (occasionally goes on sale too) *Makes 7 cups of cold brew (when you fill 1 cup past the last line) this is because some of the water is absorbed by the beans. *Doesnโt take up much counter space *Has 3 flavor profiles (mild, med, bold) spinning less time (mild) to longer (bold) *More cost effective to prepare at home *(Opinion) better tasting cold brew when fresh The cons: *This machine isnโt super loud but itโs not quiet either, the noise made when spinning is definitely the main detractor for this product. *The machine takes about 45 minutes to make a batch of cold brew on the Bold setting, less for milder settings. But still much less than 24+ hours. Overall we are really happy with this machine and the money we are saving coupled with the flavor profile of having it fresh. I would and have definitely recommended to friends, coworkers and family.

I absolutely love this cold coffee brewer!
I have been making my own cold brew coffee at home for years now and to be quite honest it's always been somewhat of a chore. I could never find a decent ready made cold coffee option anywhere (other than buying a Trenta from Starbucks every couple of days but we all know how quickly expensive that can get). And most of the cold brew coffees out there have this very acidy metal taste like your sucking on a mouthful of nickels (sorry but true). This prompted me to make my own batch, mostly for better flavor. Most decent cold brew methods take 12-24 hours for the process. And clean up is quite the endeavor. But for a great tasting and bold flavored cup of cold joe, it was worth the task. After several years I started to think that there had to be something out there that speeded up the process without sacrificing on flavor. I went through several concoctions, some that almost fit the bill, and some that were just a waste of time. And then this glimmer of hope found it's way into my life and Amazon notifications. I jumped on the offer and crossed my fingers one more time in hopes of finding the right cold coffee companion. I thought Cuisineart is pretty top notch, maybe they got it right. After the package delivered and I went through the set up process and finally brewed my first cold coffee pitcher on a late mid week night not really planning to drink my first cup until the next morning. Watching the process was pretty awesome. After years of making my own brew I watched this maker hit all of the key elements of getting all of the flavor out of coffee. The coffee grounds were always submersed in the cold water (my pet peeve about brewers not doingnthis). The coffee holder spins, yes SPINS, while brewing to move the grounds around. There are multiple options for brew strength (I am always a solid bold). And when completed you flip a lever and the coffee drains right into your serving pitcher. And SPINS one more time to release all of the coffee! Sorry I am fascinated by this thing. Clean up was a breeze compared to my old methods. And into the fridge my practically first born child went. Finally on the following morning I mustered up the courage to make my first cup (okay I was tossing and turning all night like the night before Christmas). I noticed right away that the color was dark. To me a good indicator of a bold brew. I made my regular mix with half & half and sugar and just went for it without sipping it straight to see if it was legit. Wow. Just wow. Finally. I found it. If you appreciate a good solid well flavored cup of cold coffee with minimal brewing time and clean up, this brewer is for you. If you had the patience to read this whole review (which I hardly do unless I am passionate enough about something to share with the world) take one more minute to click "Add to Cart" and let your cold coffee dreams take flight.

The Cuisinart DCB-10: A Cold Brew Savior for Acid Reflux Sufferers
As someone who suffers from acid reflux, I was hesitant to drink more coffee. But after purchasing the Cuisinart DCB-10 Automatic Cold Brew Coffeemaker in 2020, I have to say, it has completely changed my coffee-drinking experience. Gone are the days of chugging down antacids with my morning cup of joe. The Cuisinart DCB-10 produces a smooth, low-acid cold brew that is easy on the stomach and still packs a flavorful punch. And with its easy-to-use design and automatic shut-off feature, I can set it and forget it, knowing that my cold brew will be ready and waiting for me after my morning shower. One of the drawbacks of the Coffeemaker is that it can be a bit of a pain to clean. The grounds can be difficult to dump out, so I've taken to just dumping them in the sink and rinsing them down the drain. The coffee filter is also a bit of a hassle to clean, so I've found it easiest to just toss it in the dish washer with the rest of my dishes. While a slight annoyance, it's still worth it. So if you're like me and have struggled to find a coffee option that won't leave you with heartburn, give the Cuisinart DCB-10 a try. You won't be disappointed.

Great coffee in a reasonable amount of time
I've been using this for a little over a month, almost daily. I must say it does just what it says it does, a great cup of cold brew in a reasonable amount of time. I make five cups at a time using the Bold setting. I began with the medium setting and found it made my inexpensive coffee so much better that I moved to the bold setting with the same results, more flavor. I drink a blend of Sumatra roast and medium decaf. I normally make my coffee the night before, make it up the way I like (honey, stevia, and coconut milk with vanilla), and put it in a measuring cup and in the fridge for the next morning. I make half-decaf to tone down the caffeine (unless I really need it, then full strength) since I drink the whole five cups in about four to five hours. When I get ready to go I nuke it to the right temp for me, put it in my thermos and I'm ready for the day. I don't use this for cold or iced coffee so I can't speak to that. I've occasionally used it after work or on a day off and it's just a little less convenient than my old hot brewer but noticeably better tasting. All about a little planning ahead. If you just need/want a cup in a hurry you'll definitely need another machine, which I'm sure most already have. Since this brewer does take more time than others and has less capacity than some I don't see this replacing everyone's. For me, it's just fine and I've only used my old brewer once or twice since this arrived. I will keep my old brewer since it works fine, as a back-up or when I need more quantity. For more quantity, I'll mix the two pots so at least the flavor will be better than the hot brewer alone. It's easy to operate. On to cleanup. With a permanent filter, it takes me several minutes more to clean up. The parts disassemble easily. I use my faucet sprayer attachment to clean out the filter basket and "tank" with hot water and occasionally wash everything in the dishwasher on the top rack. I always run a little hot tap water through the dripper by putting some in the empty tank after spraying it out to keep the dripper rinsed. Seems to work fine. The hand rinsing takes a few minutes more than just tossing my disposable filter, but the enhanced flavor makes it worth it to me, most of the time. I've read other reviews about trouble cleaning but I've not experienced that. Now to machine quality. EVERYTHING but the carafe is plastic. Not a huge deal overall but after using it for a few days I dropped the "tank" against my stainless steel sink and the edge of the "tank" got chipped. I also handle the filter basket VERY gently when rinsing because I'm afraid I'll put my fingers through the mesh if I accidentally push too hard. I am going to buy a replacement "tank" and filter basket now since I've already experienced the minor chip and don't expect the filter basket to last. I don't know a solution to the "tank" problem but wish the permanent filter basket was mostly or all metal. In summary, in my opinion, it's a great way to get the smooth flavor of cold brew coffee (even inexpensive coffee like I drink) in minimal time. Also takes no refrigerator space which is a premium for most. They should improve the plastic "tank" and basket by using stronger materials. It feels strange to say this but I wish it had a wireless connected app, preferably wifi. There are high pitched notifications that sound at the end of the cycle. Since it can take up to 45 minutes to brew, I'm not always near the machine (obviously no one is going to stand next to it until it's finished) when it goes off so I don't always know when it's done. I always have my phone. It would be helpful to be notified by remote. It also has a high pitched noise (and a light that's on when it"s open) when you move the lever from opened to closed when emptying the "tank". It would be helpful to be able to adjust and/or turn the sound off on the machine for either or both of these when noise is not wanted but still be notified. I think that would be a helpful feature for most people now that wirelessly connected products are everywhere. Also remotely open the "tank" to drain the finished coffee and then close again. I can see how these would be beneficial for almost everyone using this brewer. Overall, great cold brew concept and operation with minimal drawbacks but room for improvement. Update 12-15-20: Still working well and holding up, even with regular, daily (sometimes multiple times a day) use. A few more notes: I've noticed during the "brewing" process the machine is noisier than I realized. Not so much that it's unusable (obviously) but still something to keep in mind. And it's mechanical noise unlike a hot brewer with the somewhat soothing water pumping/flowing sound. Another feature that needs to be added (I can't believe now it isn't there) is a countdown timer to finish. I usually set a separate timer as a reminder but on the machine would be ideal. This, again, along with Bluetooth or other connectivity (and other features as mentioned above) would make this machine SO much better. The coffee is still great BTW.

Almost perfect and I'm in love
I think I have tried every method of making cold brew. Even the "quick" version in a nitro keg. When I first heard of this, I thought it was silly because cold brew is easy to make. Once my second baby came along and I kept forgetting to set out my cold brew, I bought this for a fast fix. I took a few months before writing a review, but now I can honestly say LOVE this machine! I can also say that it has some drawbacks, but it's still worth it for what it has saved me many a coffee shop drive-thru and Postmates orders. This is how I've got it to work for me: -Ignore the instructions to scoop in coffee ground and fill the filter up to the max line. Otherwise, it will probably be weak. -Always brew on 'Bold' -Order an extra filter directly from Cuisinart because the one that comes with it is flimsy. Mine got a hole in 3 weeks. Embarrassingly, I tried to make do by lining it with a paper filter... Nope. That doesn't work. Spins right out of place. The replacement is much more sturdy. -After every 2-3 uses, soak it in hot, soapy water and let it continue soaking overnight. -Sometimes I have to release the lever twice, but that's when the coffee grounds are too fine. To prevent this, have a local coffee shop grind the coffee, unless you have something better than those cheap blade grinders. But I only have a cheap blade grider, so I just deal with it. Since I'm used to it now, I can honestly say it's my favorite thing about my kitchen. Well... maybe second only to my blender. Maybe tied? Wathever. It's still faster for me to get my cold brew than waiting in a coffee shop line.

Delicious Cold Brew Coffee
I purchased this product when it was available on sale through the Amazon โTreasure Truckโ, and it really is a treasure! I love my iced coffee, but donโt really want to spend the money to buy coffee several days a week at my local Starbucks or DD. I have a Keurig, which is nice for hot coffee, but not as good for making iced coffee since when the coffee is hot and you pour it over ice, the ice melts and greatly waters down the coffee making it lose its rich flavor. This Cuisinart Cold Brew machine is easy to use, brews my coffee to the strength I like it, and is easy to clean afterwards. I will brew 2 full (7 cup) pots of coffee at the beginning of the week, pour the cup I am going to drink that day, and then refrigerate the remainder so I donโt have to spend the time each day making another pot. I find my strength preference to be 10 scoops of coffee grounds brewed on the medium setting for the first pot, and then adding 2 more scoops of coffee grounds and brewing the second batch on strong/bold does the trick. I put both pots in the same carafe so that the two pots get mixed together and the coffee turns out FABULOUSLY!! I am so happy that I bought this Cuisinart Cold Brew coffee machine, and would recommend it to anyone who is considering the purchase of a Cold Brew machine for themselves.

Excellent "fast" cold brew machine
I love that this device takes only 30-45 minutes and it makes as good a cold brew as my 12-24 hour pour-and-wait method. Cleaning is fairly easy, but there are a lot of pieces and a few tight corners. At least it's all dishwasher safe. The filter-basket is also a little harder to clean out by hand than I'd like - I wish the top and bottom came off. The secondary filter in the carafe is usually not needed, but it's a "nice to have" and you could theoretically put a paper filter in there too if you're one of the people who finds coffee oils to be a problem. It's not as fast as a drip maker, but if you're making cold brew you're probably used to waiting a day (or buying wildly overpriced store-bought). The water:coffee ratio recommended by the machine is ~1:25, which is OK... but I'd recommend not filling the water up as much as they recommend. I can fit ~65 grams of coffee in the filter, and it holds 7 cups of water - so it tastes a little too watered down. You can't use much less water or the water won't fill to the right point in the filter basket, so experiment. I've started to fill the filter to 65 g of coffee, leave it open in the machine, pour water up to the point it covers the coffee, and then closing the filter up. It's a cup or so less water, and it makes it taste just strong enough for my taste. I always run it on the longest setting (~45 minutes, + ~5 minutes to drain). I make 1:11 ratio normally when I'm making cold brew by hand, but I end up watering it down a little bit. People generally like 1:12 to 1:18 for black coffee.

Good product
I bought this for my husband because manually making cold brew was a pain. This is by far easier to brew, filter and clean up than manually making cold brew. There was a review where someone noted that clean up was difficult.. I donโt think that person ever manually cold brewed coffee before because this is hands down easier to clean, even when you dump the grounds in the garbage. In regards to the strength of the brew produced, it depends on the persons personal caffeine tolerance. We ran the first batch on bold and I thought it was great, my husband thought it was weak. What I do for him now is I run it on bold a twice and have it sit overnight and run it on the lowest setting in the morning to produce the strength that he likes. I gave this product 3 stars because i like this product and I feel like it does help you make cold brew more easily and quicker.i canโt give it 5 stars because in our case, it doesnโt take 45 min, it still takes longer to get the right cup of coffee. I would recommend this product because it definitely makes life easier.

Great gift for the cold brew or iced coffee lover
I bought this for my daughter and SHE simply loves it. She even treated her bookclub bodies to cold brew and a selection of creamers. Everyone was amazed on how good it was with so little time and effort. Way to go Cuisinart... Again one of my favourite brands for small, class appliances.

Cold brew when you want it
I'm reluctant to praise a product after just a month or so of use, since I don't know how well it will hold up over time. But this cold brewer seems to be solidly made, so with that dodge on durability, let me just say it's a very fine cold brew system. It does make good cold brew in 45 minutes as advertised. And Cuisinart has given some thought to cleaning: if you have a spray attachment on your sink, or know the trick of holding your finder over the tap to produce a spray, then spray away and it's clean as new in just a minute. I don't know what the brewer is made of, let's call it "coffee-proof metal and plastic". It couldn't be simpler to operate. I use cold water that I've kept in the fridge. For the grind, I started with the coarsest setting on my grinder (15) and stepped down until the brewer started clogging up slightly, then backed off one click (to 14). I've had the S-bucks cold brew, and this tastes as good, with or without cream. Cons, cons, I must have one con. Ok, it makes a bit of noise while it's running - but even though I'm sensitive to noise, I find I can ignore it. Happy now?
