Grizzly Industrial G4003G - 12" x 36" Gunsmithing Metal Lathe w/Stand

runs great. have been using it pretty much non stop since it was set up.

I have had my new G4003G lathe for about 1 month. very pleased. Vibration is extremely low. (I anchored the base to my garage floor.) Minor complaints - grizzly should have put an oil drain valve on the headstock for draining the oil. very messy with the plug provided. I will add a small valve the next time I change the oil. Shipping containers were OK, but some scraping of paint. Grizzly sent me some touch up paint. Tailstock quill moves 4" but you only get say 21/2" of drill excursion because of the extraction mechanism. All in all, strongly recommend.

This is a very nice lathe, I have had it for a few months now and am still learning how to use it, I have been fabricating items all my life so I finally decided to break down and buy this thing, I now wish I had purchased it 50 years ago, It's so much better and easier to use the proper equipment when repairing and fabricating parts.This is a great product and the service is excellent, I ended up unable to work for a couple of months after I ordered it, and customer relations called about once a week for about 2 1/2 months to see how I was doing.Next Item on the agenda is going to be a Milling Machine and I will probably be checking with Grizzly to purchase.
