The receiver produces sound not so bad compared to TaoTronics'
UPDATE: I had the clamp broken while attaching it to my shirt. Get replacement confirmation from the seller. Great service!SOUND: The receiver produces sound not so bad compared to TaoTronics', about 80% offered by Sony's. The earbuds are treb only, don't use them.Build quality: Very sturdy, attractive box and earbuds but the most important thing, the receiver, is cheap-looking.Battery: Battery is low but still shows half bar on my phone. Mehhh!Overall: It's OK. I'll go for an upgrade if there's any.

I'm thinking these other reviews that all came in over a very short period are phony. They're way over the top.I can't use this thing because the manufacturer apparently wants to make people deaf. The volume controls turn the phone volume up and down fine, but the announcement volume (the voice that says "power on", "pairing", and the like) is insanely loud. I can't find a way to change it and there's nothing in the manual about it. It is so loud it hurts, so this thing is getting sent back.If someone has a valid way to change the volume of the announcements, I'm open for suggestions. But don't buy it if you value your hearing. The irony is that they say in the manual to not listen to music too loudly because you'll hurt your ears. Ha ha, the music level is not the problem.

Pretty okay sound quality, BUT...
This device has some pretty decent sound quality but the drawbacks very much out weigh the sound okay quality. The first thing I noticed is the extremely loud "announcement" volume when it's powered on (also on incoming calls, powering off, low power). I had the earbuds in when I first powered on and it just about blew my eardrums out, and it is not adjustable! Next is the "multi function buttons", I'm okay with MFBs dealing with them on many products but these are flush to the case buttons and can't be felt with your fingers, so you have to look at the unit to find them and that is very inconvenient when walking or running, especially since the earbud wires are so short I had to clip the unit to my collar making it impossible to see. The instruction sheet was in English only which didn't bother me but it was definitely written by someone that English was their third or forth language, many things not making much sense but it did bring out a few giggles. I have to say the unit was packed very well in a heavy cardboard box with the unit and the earbuds nestled in to cutouts on the raised foam insert...actually seemed like a waste of resources to me given that once opened it was now just something you have to get rid of, and the foam is not recyclable. I thought I would just live with it, given my previous BT receiver had suffered a broken USB jack making charging impossible, but when I was doing my walk listening to my music the power became low and the unit started screaming that the "battery is low" and then started repeating "power is on" over and over, then "power is", then "powpowpowpow" then "ppppppp" for about a minute until the battery was completely drained. When I returned home I plugged it in and it did seem to charge up pretty rapidly. During that time I was looking at other reviews finding out how many others complained about the announcement volume...one mentioned they were sending their's back which clicked with me that. yeah, I don't have to keep this $25 POS...so it's on it's way back to Amazon as I write this review. I hope it helps others avoid the hassle of sending their's back by just not buying one. Now off to try and find a new unit that isn't a POS!

Not Bose quality but OK bluetooth adapter
This is a nice bluetooth headphone adapter. Not great, but nice. Good volume but the sound quality is only OK. Very low bass response but the mids and highs are acceptable. The included earbuds are again, just OK. The good thing is you can use any earbuds or headphones or whatever as long as it has the mini stereo plug. There is no active noise cancellation but if you use a good set of sound ISOLATING earbuds it's not bad. The unit gives a good 7-8 hours on a charge which is great for a full work shift. I can't say much about how it works making phone calls as I haven't actually made any phone calls with it yet. For the price you can't go wrong. I read others complaining about the voice (it tells you when it's powered on and connected to your phone) being too loud but I haven't had that problem. I would recommend this as a decent, low end bluetooth device.
