Denso 210-0722 Alternator

Most Toyota/Lexus/Scion alternators are manufactured by Denso when new. This part is basically rebuilt by the OE manufacturer. The build quality and cleanliness of the part is good. Time will tell how it holds up. Worth the extra price if you are debating. Comes with a new decoupler pulley/cap installed.

Easy to intsall if you have some basic tools and some YouTube knowledge. Good product

The media could not be loaded.  Buyer Beware: unit was defective out of the box. Of course, I didn't think to check and just went ahead and tried installing it. I should have had an inkling when I turned the pulley before connecting it and felt resistance and difficulty turning it. Sure enough, after a strenuous amount of time getting the belt back on, I started the car and heard it (watch/listen to the video). A complete waste of time when I could have should have just taken this to my mechanic... oh well, lesson learned the hard way.

My vehicle is RAV4 2009 @60+K miles. I ordered this Reman alternator to replace my old OEM alternator that was suddenly making whining noise. It was caused by the defect built-in diodes/rectifiers.The removal and installation was not too difficult if you watched the right YouTube video carefully and got the proper tools. Spray some W40 on the holding bolts beforehand will make the removal easier.It has been a few days driving. Seemed work okay. Battery voltage 12.4V when engine off. Idle speed charging voltage at 13.6V.I gave 4 stars mainly for lacking of information for the warranty and core return credit.Updated on 7/7/2019The alternator works well after two+ month driving.But still cannot find the core return information!Will keep it 4 star rating.

This is good alternator, made in Japan . The older car model can run without alternator. Modern car you can,t . So buy quality alternator. Unless you want to b stranded on the road.

Disregard my previous entry..The new unit failed after driving 5 miles and I had to be towed home :-( ..I purchased another Alternator from AutoZone as I could not wait.

part was said to be compatible for RA and did not fit.

So far still working good not noisy. The brand name was okay.
