An Over Rated Product
I purchased this product based on the excellent reviews: 18 five stars on August 10, 2017 - a perfect 5! After receiving the item, I was not impressed. In fact, the device was grossly "over rated" and not that good. Here are my evaluations:..ADVANTAGES.1. The price was great. At $32, it was cheaper than the average price of $50 for competing units..2. This boom box was small, light weight, and cute in appearance..3. The sound quality was average - acceptable for small size speakers, but not impressive...DISADVANTAGES.1. The radio reception was terrible. I received a few FM and AM stations in my living room. In my smaller bedroom, I was able to get two. In comparison, my 15-year-old Panasonic boom box was able to get twice the reception. This problem was due to a small, short, and non-adjustable antenna..2. The volume was limited. At a certain level, distortion was heard..3. The power cord was short..4. Tuning was a problem. One slight nudge of the control will cause a station to go away. Another problem was channel drift, especially the AM mode. On a few occasions, the unit switched from one station to another...I would have returned the product if it were used for personal entertainment. However, the boom box is used for security. It is turned ON whenever I leave the house - to give an impression that someone is home and listening to the radio. So, good quality sound is not important, for burglars listening from outside are not very discriminating or appreciative.

It's over-priced
The radio & CD player was simple to operate. The sound quality is the same as youwould find on FM AM CD players costing $35 or so. At home the reception is goodbut at work I could not receive FM or AM stations. I returned the item & boughta Tyler & was able to get FM at work.

mediocre radio but works
Nice cute compact shape with a handle, but some design flaws, such as not having the volume and tuning controls in one place. They are all around on the underside of the body curve so you need to turn it and hunt around to find them all. I finally wrote the control names on the top side with a marker pen just so I could find them! My earphone jack falls out really easily too. Not sure if I should blame the radio or the jack. but I suspect the radio.

90s let go!
This CD player brought me right back to 3rd grade. Popping in my brand new Mariah Carey CD singing Hero at the top of my lungs and rockin my side pony tail. Unfortunately my kids didn’t really care for the loudness but this CD player works great! They’ll never know the feeling of how great it feels to open the shrink wrapped CD pull out those lyrics and put one song on repeat for a week until your mother is yelling to “pick a new damn song to learn”

Works for me
I read a lot of the reviews and just wanted to comment that the little radio has done what I needed it for which is to listen to music outside while I am doing projects. Some stations don't come in crystal clear but I'm happy with it for the price that I paid.

Good sounding radio
Good sounding quality radio and CD player. I didn’t give it a 5 she at because i think they should have put the dials on too hard to see what station your on but other then that would recommend

Takes C Batteries, NOT 9 Volt!
Really nice sound for size and price. Takes up very little room. Glad I didn't order the suggested 9 Volt Batteries (AND that I checked the user's manual before buying batteries).

Good enough
We got this to play CDs for our kids. Works okay. Fairly basic, although not the most friendly layout of buttons.

A CD player with headphone jack
Being a self-confessed luddite, I have been looking for some time for a small portable CD player with a headphone jack and an aerial so I can also listen to the radio -- not the easiest thing to find these days. So, I am very happy with this purchase as it has all those features.
