ALIEN SUNSHADE Jeep Wrangler Mesh Shade Top Cover Provides UV Protection for Your TJ Front Passengers (1997-2006)

This was perfect for the 2004 Jeep TJ!!! Went on easy and has held up amazing. I wanted something to cut back on the sun getting into the Jeep when going toppless and doorless. This lets in just enough light and doesn't block the view from above. In one of my photos you can see me sticking my arm in the Cab showing how much shade it priduces. Any Wrinkles come out after being in the sun for a bit. The Soft Top can be put back without having to remove this product, it goes right over the top of it with out any interference. Already have some friends ordering them for their Jeeps. I absolutely love this product!

It's not shade but it sure takes the edge off direct sunlight. It made this weekend's wheeling event (in 90+ degree heat) so much better. Forget the bikini tops for your Jeep--they hold the head in and bake you. Our YJ has no rugs and the engine heat transfers through the metal floor pretty easily. The bikini top used to hold the heat in and we would bake. The Sunshade mesh gives you some shade and lets the heat out. Add a small USB fan and it's almost civilized in old '95 YJ.And here's the best part...A nasty thunderstorm came through. We put the cover on but grommet holes aren't really great at keeping water out <grin> so water usually gets inside the YJ when it rains. Not this time! The Alien Sunshade saved us. When my husband took off the cover the next morning there was a small pool of water between the cover and the sunshade. Very little water got inside the Jeep. A quick wipe of the seat and a little time in the sun (maybe 40 minutes) and the seats were bone dry.

Love it! It was easy to install by myself and it helps keep the direct sun from beating down when my factory soft top is down. I was able to put the factory soft top back up over it with no issues. I love the color!I also purchased the side shades from the same manufacturer for the cargo area for the pop of color and to protect my furbaby from the sun. They match perfect and they were also easy to install. The picture looks like they are two different colors but they are not, it's the way the sun is reflecting.I purchased these for a 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ and I couldn't be happier so far, I'll update my review after they've been on for some time because I can't review durability at this point.They don't flap around or make any noise, they do allow air to freely pass through so I get the "topless" experience without the sunburn 🥵

This is a very nice accessory for the money and time spent. Contrary to the instructions, I had to install the sunshade under my soft top in temperatures in the 20's. It nevertheless installed without a hitch and is smoothing out nicely. The bungees stretched to allow the top to be installed, even though it was rather cold outside.I ordered the sunshade in the color "tank" which is depicted in the picture. The actual color is more of a green than the brownish-green in the picture, slightly lighter and less brown. It reminds me of the green canvas on the military jeep tops from the 40's and 50's.I have yet to see the shade produced by the top in the direct sun, but the top is well built. The edges are rolled over, reinforced, and heavily stitched. The grommets are placed in strategic locations and are installed within the edge's reinforcement, they seem like they will hold for a long time under load, not like a cheap tarp where the grommets pull out from the forces acting upon it. The material is rather thick and the mesh is very dense, so I am expecting it to block the sun well and not let it get too bright underneath. My children are strapped in the back of the Jeep quite often, and I do not want them getting sunburned.My only wish, if the manufacturer reads these reviews, is that they produce the "tank" colored top for the LJ, and market it to not only the LJ, but as an extended coverage top for the TJ. Had I thought about it more and had the color choices available, I would have bought an LJ sunshield for more rearward coverage on my TJ. The second request to the manufacturer is: please make side sunshields for the back portion of the roll cage, just like you do for the 2 door JK. There are a lot of TJ's out there still going strong and driving around in the sun.

Easy to install. Looks great! Quality materials & excellent product! Gives great shade while still giving you the view and helps with wind noise when going topless. Super happy so far! Quality materials that I can tell are going to last for years to come.I purchased this before I went to pick up my ‘94 YJ. The seller had an old bikini top that secured with Velcro & about 30min down the highway the Velcro came loose and was hitting me in the face. Ugh. I knew I should have swapped them out from the start! (Mind you, that one went straight into the trash when I got home). So... I pulled over & put this top on instead. I installed it alone on the side of the road with no problems: put the bungee loops around my wrists & went in this order to balance/stretch it evenly so I didn’t have to struggle. Front center first (short bungee), then front driver, passenger back corner, driver back corner, passenger front, and then all the ones in-between. It fits perfectly under the cab cover I bought & installed yesterday (we were expecting rain today). Loving it!

This sun shade was really easy to install and fit my 2002 wrangler TJ perfectly. It offers protection from the sun but does not block it completely. It is somewhat transparent so I can see the sky through it. The bright color is nice and doesn’t make me feel boxed into my Jeep like when I have the soft top on. The wind and noise may be slightly reduced with the sun shade on, as opposed to completely open but it is still windy and noisy as I love it to be in my Jeep with the top and doors off. It is a tight and secure fit so there is no flapping around as I’m driving, even on the interstate or back roads at higher speeds. The wrinkle folds from packaging have straightened out quite a bit after only 2-3 days of being on. I haven’t tried to put the soft top on over top of the sun shade, as the description says I can do. I don’t see how it would be a problem though. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase.
