It lasts 2 years
Well, I'm back to get another (I think). I checked my order history and I bought my first one almost exactly 2 years ago. When I purchased my first King size 3 inch tipper it was $78... now it is $99 on sale from $128..Not sure if I'm willing to pay $21-$50 more or try something new.Anyways, its a pretty nice topper over all..I even got one for my bed in the RV a couple months ago. I bought a horribly firm mattress when I was like 30 weeks pregnant and after I had my baby I wondered why my daughter's her dad would have ever let me do that.. terrible mattress lol. The topper doesn't slide around too much but you do have to fix its position sometimes. The topper isn't falling apart on me or anything, but it is discolored now on both sides and just looks like bacteria has been on it and stayed on it, which grosses me out. This time I'm going to get another mattress protector and put it around the topper.

Comfortable
I bought the twin xl for my dorm last year and it made sleeping in a dorm so much more pleasant. All my friends thought my bed was the most comfortable and would come to nap. I even came back to this brand for my full size for my college apartment. I bought the 2 inch this time around with the full and it’s still just as comfortable. 10/10

Not as soft as the first time
I bought a second of these as a replacement after one I got two years ago developed a small tear that grew into a big hole. The material is very clearly not even close to as soft as the last one. I sunk into the last one. My cat leaves paw prints in the last one despite being less than ten pounds. But this one barely gets any sink at all, which sucks because that's the main reason I got another of the same kind. It's still nice, but it's not as soft as it used to be.

Oh! Lucid where have you been all my LIfe???
Ok, so I purchased this Lucid 3 inch topper in Cal King! Right out of the box there is a slight smell but it's a "new foam" smell nothing out of control. The item was wrapped perfectly with a mesh fabric protector (dispossable) and a nifty letter type opener so you don't have to worry about damaging your item. It was easy peasy! Just open it up, lay on floor, unroll and almost instantly my topper got to it's 3 inches. I popped my ceiling fan on to speed process although I will odbide by the recommended 48 hrs to sleep on. I hope I can make it that long cause I did lay on it briefly on the floor and was in Heaven. I literally closed my eyes for a moment and thought I was on a puffy encompassing white cloud. I swear I could hear angelic voices and see Pegasus flying around me! l'm super hopeful this will help my lower back and hip pain. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and anyone who knows about that, You know about the wide spread pains we get. Those evil little fibro elves that man each joint and take turns stabbing you with little miniature knives. Ugh! I HATE them! Lol I really appreciate the construction of this topper. The fact that it's infused with charcoal is an added antimicrobial and moisture barrier benefit. It seems awesome but only time will tell. I'm in my 30s and about 118lbs but sleep heavy. My hubby is about 175 ish and tosses every 10 min. He has horrible neck pain and lower back pain. (Too many years of playing Hockey) So, we are both looking forward to some much needed sleep therapy. There is a 3 year warranty on it so that makes me happy. I will update after a full weeks sleep. Only CON I can see this far is I wish there was a bamboo zippered cover for it. May need to purchase deep pocket sheets. This is a COMPLETELY unbiased review, purchased by me. Who genuinely is super excited about using this item. Check back for update!May 24 UPDATE: Man oh man! Did this item truly exceed my expectations. This topper has been heaven sent. It has completely overhauled my joints in a way that they actually feel less tender and sore. That lower back pain has decided to pack up an move. My fibromyalgia episodes seem less due to being more well rested. With joint pain and wide spread pain lessened I have been able to slowly start doing yoga again. I just needed my body to repair a bit first and this topper definitely helped. My kids call it the marshmallow bed and fight over who gets to nap in it lol. It does help wick away moisture. Especially when paired with bamboo sheets. I will replace after warranty is up in 3 yrs to make sure I'm receiving the best from this product. I can't rave enough. I will update again in 6m. Please don't hesitate you found the one. I will say if you are over 300lb try going up to a 4-5 inch topper for added support. Blessing for better sleep to all...

I sleep eight and a half to 10 hours a night now
I bought two. One for my grand-daughter and one for me. She said she likes hers. I love it. I've always had issues with sleeping and now I sleep really well. You sink in pretty deep but it's not uncomfortable at all. It went up $20 so I bought a three inch one, with zones, for my grandson. And that's not nearly as nice as this one. I should have paid out the more money.

It’s firmer than I was assuming
I wasn’t expecting it to be as firm as it is. Fits perfectly in bed. So far so good

traps heat really bad
so it only took about 6hrs for it to be completely inflated so i threw it on the bed. of course it's comfy as you first lay on it- you sink in a little bit and have that 'ahhhh yes' kind of moment. but i am a side sleeper and as squishy as it seems, it does not give well under the shoulder. i had trouble trying to find a way to be comfy, switched between 2 or 3 pillows but ended up just laying in a really weird position. it's also hard to adjust even a tiny bit throughout the night because you're sunk in so far. and another thing was how hot that thing got. i am always warm when i sleep but i was under the impression this was more 'breathable' and i was so hoping that it would help regulate my temp but unfortunately it just kept me hot all night. every time i woke up i was shocked at how hot my skin and pillows were.so when i got up, even though i felt i had slept alright, my back was WRECKED. and i very rarely have back pain. so i thought, well it was just the first night, it might take some getting used to. but even the first 3 or 4 nights i just tossed and turned so much and remained overheated and restless. i am 1 week in to sleeping on it now, and the heat is still the biggest issue, but maybe that wont be as bad with the weather starting to get colder (Tennessee). i am still trying to get used to this topper, i might give it another week or so before i decide to move it to his side of the bed, since he was thinking of purchasing the same one.i will say i think this would be really great for kids. sometimes tiny mattresses are just not comfy and this would be cheaper than buying a new one. and it seems like any kid would be super cozy on this.

Sleep, glorious sleep
Turns out I didn't hate life, every one, and everything; I hated my mattress. I used to be roused from sleep easily, but I have slept through two neighbourhood shootings and an elderly relative falling down the stairs.Just the best. Thinking about getting a second and quitting work.

1+ Years After Purchase - back-pain and Mattress Topper not a Mattress
I thought I would wait a year before writing a review, because sometimes it's easy to just give a great review based on initial impressions and usually a person coming from a very bad mattress situation could think they've just arrived in heaven. That was certainly the case when I got this mattress topper. We kept our existing mattress, and figured it would be cheaper to just get a 'topper. Which it was.We left the mattress to unfold for several days while we were away on a long weekend holiday, it did take several days to fully take shape.I live with long-term back pain, due to an injury many years ago. It's always a challenge finding a mattress. We moved from overseas, and came with a great memory foam mattress but it was only a double size, so gave it to our daughter, and upgraded to a queen size bed.The mattress we got with our bed was really bad, so decided to opt for the mattress topper here.Positives:- Soft but not 'too' soft. (soft but not enough support - see negatives below)- Thickness is good, I can't feel our hard mattress underneath it.- No smell. Once it unfurled and aired out for a few days, we have no smell from manufacturing or packaging.- Fits nicely on top of the mattress, doesn't make an issue for putting sheets over it.Criticisms:- Some trapped heat (not as hot as some memory foam, but still can be warm). I would say is just 'ok' in respect of heat-trapping.- No internal support - as a back pain sufferer I just need more support built in. This is why mattress toppers, no matter how good, will not be good enough.- No edge support - I have to keep a rolled blanket or pillow by the edge of the bed, to keep from sliding off the edge. I move around and sprawl a bit, and so sleeping on one side in a shared bed, the edges are not up to keeping some of us 'movers' in place. This also makes for extra discomfort in my back - without the rolled blanket or pillows on the edge.- Soft without enough body contour support. Maybe we bought it too thick, and while I can not feel the mattress below it, the softness does not provide enough support and I find myself still using pillows and blankets to support my curves.Hope this helps anyone looking at this product. Overall, we've had it for a year, but I have woken up most days with terrible back pail still. Sadly.

Like being cradled in angels wings.
So I've got a decent mattress but I'm getting older and my job is physically demanding and now I really feel the pressure points.I came across this topper and it fit all my requirements. Bonus that it's a dark grey.It came quickly and all rolled up. I opened it and let it inflate. 24 hours later and I'm in heaven. I know it's supposed to be 48 but omg. Guys. It's so comfy.Nothing is poky. My back is being cradled so gently. My stress is melting away. It's thick and also firm yet forgiving.Yes there's a smell. It smells like foam.So far it's impossible to get off of it. Will update.

Cracks
This mattress topper is really soft. I liked it but I’ve had it for 2 weeks and it’s starting to crack. I’m just sleeping on it and I have no idea why but there are half a dozen small cracks on the memory foam. Also, the topper doesn’t expand to fully fit a twin sized bed.
