Visioneer Patriot H60 Duplex Scanner with Document Feeder

The media could not be loaded.  I am very pleased with this scanner so far. I own a tax practice so I have to scan a lot of odd sized and shaded tax documents. During my busy time, time is of the essence for everything, including a fast scan of documents, and this scanner delivers. It is quite a site to see a rapid scan of documents at 70 pages per minute! They just rip right through the feeder - zip, zip, zip. Tech support helped me get the settings just right for my needs, but was a little rushy about the call since he had lots of calls to respond to. I have owned several Fujitsu scanners, which have all served me very well. But I chose this scanner because it is rated 10 pages per minute faster than the similarly priced Fujitsu Fi-7160 (60 ppm). It does take a bit more desk space than the Fujitsu. The scan feed chute leans way back away from the base of the machine - about 7 inches away. And the output chute extends outward by about 13 inches. All told, it requires a full 24 by 12.5 inches of desktop space. I had to move my printer to another location to accommodate it. But if that's the only price I have to pay for supersonic fast scans, then so be it. It's a worthy trade off. So, if speed is important to you, give this scanner a serious look. I think you will find that the specs far outshine the top brand competition such as HP, Brother, Canon, etc.

At first we were unsure due to the relatively high price of this scanner. However, after setting it up and getting to understand the somewhat clunky software interface, we are really pleased with the machine. We work in a law office and we scan 100's of pages each week. This thing works flawlessly - and the speed at which the pages scan is outstanding....a major upgrade from the old multi-function machine from which we upgraded. Highly recommend if its within your budget.

I have used "all-in-one" products that claim to do sheet feed scanning but really do not. All this H60 does is scan, and it does it very quickly, reliably and accurately. They supply software that takes their scan and turns it into a searchable PDF file. Sounds nice, but it works better than you can imagine. If you need to scan to searchable PDF's, I cannot imagine a better product. Highly recommended. I had a minor support issue that was quickly resolved. All good.

This scanner has been a great value for me -- it's very fast for both one-sided and two-sided scanning, the page feed mechanism works well, the scans look good, the bundled software is on point, and it's small especially when folded up for travel. I wouldn't mind if the ADF capacity were greater, but at this price point and with this ease of use, I'm more than content. (Image processing can slow down the scanning, but you can configure which features to use, or turn it off entirely -- which often is just fine.)

I was reluctant to with this brand since I never heard of them before but they got an amazing rating by CNET and PCMag so I pulled the trigger and have been super productive ever since. I haven's had any trouble with the unit. The software it comes with is easy and intuitive and my life is so much easier now. If you are on the fence, just do like I did and pull the trigger!!!! You won't regret it!

I bought this to scan an entire storage room of banker's boxes worth of files. it didn't bat an eye, powered through everything and has kept going strong. easy software, good functionality, i will probably buy another one shortly

By "far" best scanner I have ever owned and I have owned many. Incredibly fast and reliable. I wish they made it in a flatbed style the Xerox DocuMate series (I've had both) because I like flatbeds better but this is so far superior to any flatbed I have tried that I won't ever try one again. If this is a 10 the flatbeds are a 7.

Scanner is very easy to use with my software, and scans very quickly. Scans are extremely clear at 200 dpi. Feeder holds a large stack and feeds quickly without any jamming. This scanner replaced a Fujitsu scanner that I had for about 9 years in my small tax and financial planning practice. I am very pleased with this product.
