Exactly like the ones I had seen abroad years ago! The orange color is soft and very attractive. Hotel won't confuse it for theirs. These are weightier than say, a linen kitchen towel, and much softer. Very absorbent. Took it to Greece: shawl, leg warmer on the plane, beach towel, pareo, lounge chair cover, steering wheel sun protector, lightweight nap blanket, seat cushion at the stone Greek theater....and packs down very small. Dries quickly in sun or breeze; but not so much if the air is damp. It was a hit with my companions: they want one; kept borrowing it.Do make sure to follow the washing instructions; it is durable, but a bit less tolerant of hot water and agitation than a terry towel. Note that the woven stripes (not printed) won't fade out over time, and the designs are nice and add some structure to the weave. Embrace orange! The pretty color makes it more believable as a wrap or shawl. You won't be sorry!

So happy I finally purchased one! This one is so wonderfully soft when it comes out from the first washing. As many reviewers also said, this is packaged so cute and great for a teacher, girlfriend, gift etc. I am buying one for my neighbor after we spent vacation with them, she kept commenting on how much she loved mine. I used mine at the beach for the first time, so soft as a beach blanket, used it as a wrap around my waist, used it over my shoulders when I got too much sun, dried off with it. Perfect and stylish! It's about the size of a beach/pool towel and I folded it into quarters and then rolled it up and it fit into the corners of my day bag perfects for travel, nice and small when rolled. I will be getting more for the guest bathroom soon. I can see this being used as a summer throw, a couch throw, decor piece, you won't regret buying this one.

I bought this towel and another from Dandelion Textiles to use as beach towels for my daughter and myself. When I opened the box, I thought there was only one towel in there, they are so thin! They do recommend you wash and iron these towels before use, which I did. I was skeptacle of how much these would absorb and so decided to try it at home before heading to the beach.The towel was super absorbent and soft, although I did NOT use it on my hair (I was worried it would be soaked after that!). We have since taken them to the beach and they are perfect! They hardly take up any space in my bag, yet are large enough to lay out on and I'm 5'10". They are quite absorbent but also dry fairly quickly. I laid on my towel for a while after going in the water. When I was too hot from being in the sun, I wrapped the damp towel around like a shawl and it was nice and cool and shielded me from the sun. ONE NOTE: These towels get pretty wrinkly! You can iron them, but who wants to do that everytime you wash your towels? It's fine for the beach but it would drive me crazy for household use.

These towels are lovely. They're large and soft and warm -- they make wonderful throws or lap blankets. Sadly, they aren't very absorbent. I will wash them a few more times and maybe that will improve. In spite of the absorbency problem, they are well worth the money I spent.

I purchased this towel to take on a vacation to California because I didn't have much room in my suitcase and I wanted something lightweight and easy to pack and dry. This was the PERFECT towel! Packed it in my carry on to use as a blanket on the flight and that was great because it was not heavy at all and did a good job of keeping me warm. This folds up pretty small so it was able to fit into my tote nicely.I took this to the beach as well to use as a beach towel and I don't think I will every go back to normal terry cloth towels. Not only was it light weight, but the sand get caught in it like it does with normal beach towels. The only thing I wasn't able to test out was how well it does at drying you of because we didn't get in the water. I don't think this would be an issue at all.I would have liked for these to be a TAD bit larger or maybe even double the size for a big beach blanket but for the price, I really love this and not to mention I LOVE the patterns of these! They are beautiful!! :) I may even purchase more to use as bath towels at home. I will be interested to see how they hold up in the long run. I have washed mine twice and only dried it once. I have also ironed once per the instructions but I didn't really think that made it softer, which is what it said it would do.Anyways, I really really like these towels and I'm so glad I purchased them!

I first saw Dandelion Textile browsing on Instagram and I immediately Googled them looking for where I can get my hands on their towels. I had gone to several stores like J Crew looking for Turkish cotton towels and they were selling some for $76! This towel is such a great value! I agree with Odevron's review, this towel does not have the gross wet/moldy smell like regular thick bath towels. This towel is nice and large, larger than my normal beach towel size but it rolls up even smaller than all my beach towels so it's really fun to take around with me. I received this natural and grey towel about a week ago and yes it is a bit more tan than it is light but that's okay because I love the design and quality so much. The design is like a beautiful combination of a traditional Turkish towel mixed with a Mexican blanket style. The instructions on the adorable packaging say to wash first to maximize the softness and I'll admit I didn't follow the instructions because I was so excited to use and it was already soft! I can drape this on my couch as a lightweight blanket and decorative piece, use it as my everyday towel, bring it to the beach/park, etc. There's just so much to do with this wonderful piece I can't wait to get another.
