I've been living and working overseas for over 10 years. In all this time I had never used a grounded adapter plug until I had a literally shocking experience with my laptop. I have two power supplies for my laptop. One is grounded. The other is not. For quite some time I had felt what I thought was a vibration on the metalic surface of my laptop. One day my wife said she got a shock. I realized that it wasn't a vibration that I was feeling. It was electric current. After doing a little research I discovered that other people had a similar experience and that using the grounded adapter would solve the problem. It did for me. I also have a grounded hard drive that I brought from the US to Europe. Until I started using the grounded adapter with this harddrive I often felt a bit of current. I'll never again simply use a two prong adapter for a US grounded plug. Spend a few dollars more and avoid getting shocked!

Plugs do what they are supposed to do. Lower rating because they don't hold very tight in the receptacle, on both sides. But they did get the job done, just had to be secured with tape and plastic ties to keep them from coming apart when attached to a plug strip mounted on the wall. I'd probably buy more when needed but would continue to look at other products that fit tighter.

Used this adapter for 3 weeks on a recent trip to Italy. Worked in every hotel between Rome and Pisa to allow me to charge my camera, tablet, IPhone, and MP3 player. Note that this item is not a converter. Verify that your wall charger is compatible with the expected voltage range (220VAC).

Used this plug in Zimbabwe (Victoria Falls), Swaziland, and throughout SouthAfrica. It worked well everywhere. Camera chargers had their own converters so just used this adapter plug for them. One shaver need the converter in addition to this plug so we used the converter we had brought several years ago and plugged it into this adapter.

The units that were sent to me are not at all like the picture. Basically I needed the round adapter like the picture showed or our condo in St Martin and they sent a square one that does not work very well because it will not seat in the outlet. It will probably work in some but the only reason I ordered from here because the picture shown was exactly what I wanted and needed. Very Disappointed.

This plug worked great in Capri & Rome a friend said I might not be able to use it in Italy as plugs vary all over Europe one of the reviews stated it worked in Rome so I tried this one over many others very satisfied

Appears to be quite well built. Not your typical "dime store" quality of adapter. Actually passes the ground terminal.

Worked perfectly in Israel. Didn't know I needed a special plug just for Israel until a couple of days before the trip. Amazon came through with next day delivery. Thanks Amazon.
