This is a beautiful cup. White glaze inside and brownish grey out.Solid cup and my favorite style.I ordered 2 and both were wrapped individually thickly in bubble pack and taped. I think it could have been thrown and wouldn't have broken.

I’ve had Denby mugs for decades, they are as nice as the new ones, and this type is easy to hold, comfortable, and the gray color is a subtle shade. Great.

I love all my Denby cups. I have never been disappointed. Just the right size for me. I have coffee in my cup every morning.

Product arrived with one of the cups totally smashed. I did not bother to unwrap the one item. I won’t pay postage to send broken unit back to you. Very unhappy .

I like this Denby USA Blends Truffle/Canvas set. It looks nice and it mixes well with my existing pieces so it makes for an interesting table setting. The size of each item is how I like the tableware to be so I'd be interested in purchasing in future.

While the product page says that this place setting is made in England, it is also referred to as a "Denby USA Blend."Maybe it's made of tougher material for us ham-handed Americans?At any rate, this is a well-made set of everyday dinnerware. It has a nice heft to it, and as far as I can tell, the glazing is perfect.The product page says that the entire set is suitable for oven, microwave, dishwasher, and freezer, which covers using the dishes in the big four.The mug is big and solid, a size and weight that could make it a favorite mug for your daily cuppa.The bowl is big as well, too big for cereal in my opinion, but just right for a meal-sized salad.It could easily be used as a serving bowl for peas, corn or mashed potatoes.Both plates are big for their size. They have just enough of a rim to prevent those peas from rolling off your plate and keep a sizeable serving of gravy contained.The largest one could be used as a serving platter for dinner rolls.The design of this dinnerware is a pleasingly neutral blend of grey and brown with a light cream colored interior.The cost is not cheap, but this place setting is made to high standards. If you can afford it, a few of these settings would make an ideal all around dinnerware set appropriate for the family as well as for more formal occasions.

This single place setting is subtly attractive. Upon even cursory examination, it is not difficult to determine that this stoneware is of higher than average quality.Our set has had multiple trips through the microwave and dishwasher without any issues whatsoever.The mug is perfectly suited for coffee and lacks the abrasive rim that is sometimes found on lower quality stoneware. I also enjoy the bowl, which is shallow, but very wide.All in all, I believe that this is a simple but quality set.

This Denby set arrived in one piece and I like everything about it. The material is sturdy and the glaze is easy to care for so far. I will update my review if there are issues with the dishwasher over time. The style is subtle, with a mellow yellow rim, truffle purple-grey base, and speckled center. The speckled bit is subtle, but a nice change from pure white. The overall effect is not flashy at all, or overly ornate. Instead, it is comforting and stylish in a more old country way. As with any distinct style, it won't be for everyone, but I recommend it to anyone that likes the design.

I use those cups for many years and love it (5 Stars value). I have nothing against dishes with imperfections but it should be written in the description and then, we would decide if I want it anyway. I bought 3 cups and the 3 were the same.
