Cheap, and works!
It's cheap, and it works. Using this to convert the SDI output of a Sony PDW700 to the HDMI input of an Atomos Ninja Blade. For portability I used a D-Tap cable and a DC step-down converter (from the Anton Bauer's 14.4v down to 5v) to eliminate the need for AC power. Works like a charm.

A Little Plastic Box Filled with Air and a Little Green "I Fooled You" LED
I purchased this with the hope that it would save me some money over the BMD or Aja alternatives. Turned out to be a total waste of $40 and a lot of time. I have fed SDI at every conceivable frame-rate, interlaced and progressive, at 1080 and though the SDI Lock light is activated when SDI is connected, it outputs nothing through the HDMI port. Nothing. Nada, zilch, zippo. I have other converters to help me rule out that the problem is in the SDI or HDMI cables in use. The EtekCity LKV368 is a featherweight brick made of plastic with a little light inside to make you think it should be working. It doesn't. It is terrible. It doesn't even make a good brick. It is sonic-welded so you can't even take a look inside. Don't waste your money. UPDATE: I have revised my star power from 1 to 4. Another reviewer alerted me to the fact the unit must be powered up AFTER all other connections have been made or it won't work. He was right. It works fine as long as you apply power last. Not perfect, but a solid 4.

Did not work
I ordered this to connect an HD-SDI camera to an LED TV via HDMI. After connecting the coax cable from the camera to this adapter, I connected an HDMI cable from the box to my TV and got nothing. The green LED was on indicating the converter locked on to the video signal- but no video out. I tried another HDMI cable- same result.I finally bought a $99 converter locally and it produced a beautiful picture immediately.Product is going back.

Work great when they work
They work great when they work. These units have a high failure rate. I think it is due to the heat. Once they cool down, they work properly. These units don't seem to be intended for all day use.

Worked great out of the box
Purchased 12 of these to adapt from our ATEM switcher to our projectors and TV's. Worked great out of the box.

Not bad...
Great value for the money! Just watch out for the BNC connector...it break off easily.

Not as advertised
In the online description, the manual and on the device itself it says that it supports 1080p. For some reason it converted our signal from 1080p to 1080i, which does not work for us. Very bad.

Still Working On Solution
The order arrived as scheduled. However, I am having difficulty getting this unit to "talk" or :"handshake" with the television. I believe it's more than likely a resolution issue from the dish receiver unit to the TV. I'm not sure how to, or even if its possible to change the resolution coming from the receiver. Does anyone have any ideas?
